2024: Arrest on fraud charges

On December 3, 2024, the Dorogomilovsky Court of Moscow sent Vyacheslav Smirnov, the former general director of the federal state unitary enterprise (FSUE) ProtectionInfoTrans, to the pre-trial detention center. He appears in the criminal case against the ex-deputy head of the Ministry of Transport RFAlexey Semenov.

It is reported that Smirnov was charged under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale.
