Biography

1998: Start of work in Microsoft Rus

Pavel Yershov — one of "veterans" of the Russian office Microsoft. It began work in the company in 1998. From 2003 to 2006 held a position of the area manager across the Volga Federal District, heading department of business development of Microsoft in this region. Was the board member.

In 2006 Pavel Yershov headed department on work with state institutions at the Russian office Microsoft. In 2011 left the company.

2011: Transition to work to Parallels

In the middle of March, 2011 Pavel Yershov came to work in Parallels. He was appointed to the position of the president of the company on emerging markets (President, Emerging Markets). In this position Yershov concentrated on the strategy of the company in emerging markets, first of all, Russia, the CIS countries, the Middle East and Africa. In a priority was development of two the directions, main for the company. The first – assistance to partners of Parallels in start of "cloud" services. The second direction - promotion of desktop software of virtualization of Parallels Desktop for Mac and increase in knowledge of consumers of opportunities for work with Windows applications on computers of Apple.

At the time of appointment Yershov became at least the third top manager who left Microsoft in this company. So, in August, 2010 Birger Steen before working as the vice president of Microsoft for work with the enterprises of small and medium business and distributors became the president of the company. In February of this year he was appointed the CEO of Parallels. Microsoft was left also by the director of the sector of communications Alex Danilyuk, having passed into Parallels to a position of the director of work with independent suppliers of solutions SaaS.

Later it was announced Pavel Yershov's appointment to a position of the CEO of Parallels subsidiary company - the International research center Parallels Research. The research center is a resident Skolkovo and is engaged in development of a cloud platform based on the existing technologies of parent company. Yershov should solve in short terms several problems at once. First, to create strong team of the research center for development of the developed Parallels of technologies. Secondly, to promote process of commercialization of developments that is important for ensuring their further development. And thirdly, by the end of 2011 to provide preliminary results of work.

From 2014 to 2015 Yershov worked in Singapore where was responsible for sales and operating activities of Parallels in the Pacific Rim.

2015: Work in Ingram Micro

In 2015 Yershov passed into Ingram Micro where held the vice president's position. In this position he developed international sales and marketing strategy of cloud platforms of the company.

2017: Return to Microsoft to a post of the operating officer

On July 3, 2017 Microsoft announced Pavel Yershov's appointment the operating officer in Russia. On this post he replaced Tomasz Bochenek who shortly before it was appointed to the position of the president of Microsoft in Russia.

In a new position Yershov is responsible for operating activities of Microsoft in Russia and for growth of business in all market segments, key for the company. He submits to the head of Microsoft in Russia.
