JSC Rosatom Infrastructure Solutions (RIR, part of the State Corporation Rosatom"") has developed and established the production of a domestic intellectual eco-monitoring station. The equipment has passed all the necessary certification procedures and is included Unified Register of Russian Radio Electronic Products Ministry of Industry and Trade Russia in under the name "Smart Gateway M1." The company announced this on March 28, 2025.

The "M1 Smart Gateway" is a device for measuring environmental parameters. Depending on the configuration, the equipment can simultaneously track the level of carbon dioxide (CO₂), the concentration of explosive gases, the level of radiation, the content of solid particles, the noise level and other indicators at the installation site.

The key difference between the Smart Gateway and traditional environmental monitoring posts is embedded software. It not only fixes the current values, but also analyzes the data, transmits it to the information system and generates recommendations for the operator. All collected information is presented to users in the form of interactive maps and graphs. In the event of loss of communication with external systems, data is stored on the built-in media and automatically transferred when the connection is restored.

The equipment can operate offline or integrate with the customer's existing environmental monitoring systems. "Smart gateway" is recommended for facilities where round-the-clock control of environmental parameters is required: industrial enterprises, landfills and waste processing facilities of various hazard classes.

The development is distinguished by a high degree of localization: the element base of the device consists of 70% domestic components, while most of the analogues on the market use imported components.
