2018: Submission of the solution GoodsAR

On November 27, 2018 the Accenture company provided the product GoodsAR developed based on technologies of augmented reality (AR). A solution task - as much as possible to simplify to the buyer shopping process. GoodsAR is adapted for smartphones, tablets and special glasses with augmented reality.

The project is executed in Liquid Studio - division of Accenture on prototyping of digital innovations. The main focus in GoodsAR is placed in the direction of improvement of Customer Experience (CX) – the concept includes creation of the most convenient tools and interfaces for b2c-interaction and finds broad application in a retail, noted in Accenture.

According to the statement of the developer, GoodsAR in the relevant type integrates in itself the opportunities demanded by the modern consumer AR/VR. Application is established on the tablet or mobile phone and allows to import the list of purchases of any messenger and to lay a route to the next zone in trade the hall where there is the first purchase, conducting the buyer further from the shelf to the shelf according to the list. Specialists of Liquid Studio also adapted GoodsAR for augmented rReality glasses. This upgrade saves from need to be distracted by the tablet or the smartphone, and it is possible to see all necessary information on a route and goods directly before himself. At guidance of the smartphone on the shelf of shop or a view of it through points on the screen the additional information about products, including its rating, the region of origin, type and compatibility with different dishes (for wine), availability of allergens, sugar and gluten in groceries, applicability for vegetarians, etc. appears. Control of all GoodsAR functions is exercised of gestures.

According to research 2018 Accenture Digital Consumer Survey, the buyer wants to receive from solutions in the field of virtual and augmented reality (AR/VR) more practical results which are going beyond emotional experience and entertainments. 67% of respondents want to gain with the help of AR/VR an evident impression about the place of the future travel, 61% - to try on the clothes planned to purchase, 58% wish to study using 3D - textbooks, 54% declared desire to look how new pieces of furniture will fit into an interior of their housing. Besides, 55% of respondents would like to have ability to integrate AR technologies into digital devices, wearable on a body (points, hours, bracelets), with a possibility in the future of complete replacement of the smartphone and its functionality with the similar solution (wearable-products with voice actuation, functionality of AR and support of hologram interfaces).
