AECOsim Building Designer is a software package for creation of an information model of buildings and release of a complete packet of the project documentation.

Description

As a part of AECOsim four modules: Architectural and Structural are intended for architectural and construction design, and Mechanical and Electrical provide design of the engineering systems and electricians.

Use of all modules is regulated by the uniform license, results are available thanks to the publication in the i-model format. By means of integration into the ProjectWise server, the user has a continuous access to relevant project files and the published data.

2017: Выпуск AECOsim Building Designer Connect Edition

The Bentley Systems company announced on October 12, 2017 a release of the AECOsim Building Designer Connect Edition application for information modeling of buildings (BIM) from Bentley company.

The application is intended for large and/or difficult construction projects which usually face problems of consolidation of vulgar and linear infrastructure (for example, highways, the railroads, communication networks, etc.). Often project organizations during the work on such projects bear broad responsibility for numerous disciplines and in general for the organization of work of subcontractors and partners.

Disciplines in AECOsim Building Designer Connect Edition

Software of AECOsim Building Designer Connect Edition uses the general complex environment of modeling with all Bentley Connect Edition applications. Without having the complex environment of modeling, engineers and architects face a problem of exchange of difficult data that leads to data loss and repeated calculations or even application of a BIM-application for modeling of the geometrical form which is not containing BIM information.

AECOsim Building Designer Connect Edition integrates work of architects, designers and engineers in the uniform application and increases scalability thanks to the complex environment of modeling Connect Edition. The provided version provides trouble-free functional compatibility with all diversified portfolio of applications of Bentley for design, calculations and construction, developers emphasized.

ContextCapture: for receiving the existing conditions on a building site of a cloud of points and model of reality it is possible to integrate with project models

All Connect Edition applications, including MicroStation Connect Edition, use opportunities of automatic creation of the project documentation in the center of documentation Connect Edition. The center of documentation optimizes quality of drawing up a set of drawings. AECOsim Building Designer also takes advantages of modeling of reality using which capture of the existing infrastructure according to photos and/or the scanned images in engineering models of reality using ContextCapture from Bentley is made. Thus, the up-to-date geoattached design data are entered directly in AECOsim design-time environment.

GenerativeComponents is the add-on module in AECOsim BD intended for computing modeling and consideration of all range of possible options of project intention taking into account restrictions and communications between objects.
