2021: Announcement of 3D model of infected COVID-19 lungs

At the end of May 2021, the company Thyng introduced the first 3D model of a patient's lungs with a heavy current. COVID-19 The model is designed to educate physicians and students, raise patient awareness and use for research purposes.

The Covid Lung 3D model was created on the example of a real patient with a severe COVID-19 flow, based on computed tomography performed on the 9th day of infection. The patient was transferred to an IVL device shortly after the CT scan. The 3D model allows you to consider the pronounced destructive effect of the virus on the lower lobes of the lungs, as well as on peripheral and peribronchial tissues.
