Placing more than 2,000 IoT sensors

MTS has placed more than 2,000 IoT sensors in the halls of the data center. Data on changes in temperature conditions in the halls of the data center and power consumption of IT equipment are promptly transmitted to the control center. The sensors are equipped with distribution power systems of all levels of the data center - main, in-line, as well as power inputs of client racks, cold and hot corridors. Each rack with customer equipment is equipped with temperature sensors. In case of deviation from the specified parameters, the data center employees receive an SMS notification, which allows them to quickly respond to changes and prevent abnormal situations.

On a single monitoring panel in the data center control center, a "temperature map" of the halls is formed, including each rack with client equipment, and the power consumption mode is also visualized. This was made possible by the integration of the IoT solution with the Zabbix monitoring system. In addition, the entire set of monitored indicators is supplied to the cloud platform "TeleData Accounting" and is automatically uploaded to the personal account of both the service for operating client services of the data center and commercial customers.
