2016: Dell SharePlex 9.0

In May, 2016 the Dell company released the version of Dell SharePlex 9.0 - the solution for operational replication of data and data integration in real time. The updated solution allows to perform database replication of Oracle not only in Oracle databases, but also in SAP HANA, Teradata and EnterpriseDB Postgres Advanced Server.

Thanks to support of SAP HANA, Teradata and EnterpriseDB Postgres the solution SharePlex ensures functioning with the widest list of databases, including Oracle, the Microsoft SQL Server, SAP ASE, Java Message Service (JMS), SQL and XML Files. Also the solution allows to carry out migration of databases of ZeroIMPACT.

SharePlex 9.0 is available to the order through official partners of Dell since May 24, 2016 through official partners of Dell company.

Now, with adding of support of SAP HANA, Teradata and EnterpriseDB Postgres, the solution SharePlex allows to work with the structured and unstructured data, closed and open source software, own equipment and cloud services, - noted Darin Bartik, the marketing vice president, to systems and information managements of Dell company

Dell SharePlex 8.0 is the solution for replication of data

The version of the product Dell SharePlex 8.0 of Dell company supports data integration in real time that simplifies creation of business and analytical solutions and increases efficiency of data storage. Continuing a line of solutions for replication of data of a format Oracle- to-Oracle, SharePlex 8.0 allows customers to take information from DBMS Oracle 10g/11g and to move them to the various structured and unstructured databases.

Replication outside

By means of Change Data Capture (CDC) technology SharePlex 8.0 provides replication of data Oracle in other databases, including the maintaining structured databases SQL Server DB2 Sybase, Netezza and Teradata and also new unstructured bases Hadoop and Greenplum.

The technology CDC succeeded a traditional method of extraction of data: only those data which were changed are subject to transfer.

The solution SharePlex is created taking into account the need for availability 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, in current status. Thanks to considerable reduction of number of transactions CDC accelerates processing of information that it is extremely important for compliance to modern standards. Besides, it increases efficiency of solutions of a business intelligence as only the most up-to-date and relevant information is subject to the analysis.

Development of achievements

Remaining the solution for work with Oracle databases, SharePlex offers support of functions of protection and optimization of Oracle, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC).

The TDE function allows the organizations to protect important data with the enciphering help, and the HCC technology provides additional data compression on the Oracle Exadata platforms that in turn allows to place more data on drives with a high performance, to increase the speed of work and in general to reduce storage expenses of data in the Exadata systems.

Availability, cost and opinion

The solution SharePlex 8.0 for Oracle Enterprise Edition can be purchased both with lifelong, and with the temporary license. Also separate conditions of purchase for work with Oracle Standard Edition are available.
