2024: Ability to analyze application server health
Diasoft's Digital Q.TomEE platform will help analyze the status of application servers. The company announced this on October 28, 2024.
Monitoring application server health is critical to maintaining high application performance, reliability, and availability. By collecting and analyzing accurate memory usage by applications installed on the server, you can efficiently allocate resources and prevent overloads.
This monitoring requires timely storage of application, memory, and thread status data. Diasoft has implemented data logging mechanisms as part of the Digital Q.TomEE infrastructure platform, designed to manage JavaEE-compatible application servers.
The data you save helps you:
- Analyze application server load levels and decide on load optimization
- Identify problems with applications
- Prevent critical applications from falling by collecting detailed information on application server data flows.
If you are working with a large number of applications running using an application server, the amount of data stored may become too large. Log files take up significant disk space if they are not deleted regularly. This can cause the system to slow down and run out of space for new data.
To prevent this problem, the Digital Q.TomEE platform has a log rotation tool. It allows you to configure archiving of outdated data by determining the frequency of archiving or deleting records for each individual type of log files.
Digital Q.TomEE also supports the configuration of long-term storage of log data in the database. This will help ensure quick access to data for effective analysis and detection of potential security risks.
2023: Add an opportunity to verify that the application server settings are correct
Diasoft expands the capabilities of the Digital Q.TomEE infrastructure platform, designed to manage JavaEE-compatible application servers. The company announced this on December 14, 2023.
Digital Q.TomEE implements functionality to check the correctness of application server settings. The company announced this on December 14, 2023.
It provides the following business processes:
- Secure configuration of the application server
- monitoring of basic operating parameters;
- logging of security events.
In the immediate plans for the development of the Digital Q.TomEE platform:
- Integration with the Digital Q.Health technology platform, which will ensure monitoring of server health, monitoring of their performance and timely prevention of incidents.
- Implementation of the ability to group applications deployed on the server to combine applications by business meaning and the ability to mass control (start, stop).
The import-independent platform Digital Q.TomEE is a full-fledged alternative to Oracle WebLogic Server and IBM WebSphere Application Server, which are not supported in Russia. Currently, for obvious reasons, most organizations prioritize software import substitution projects. Digital Q.TomEE has already been implemented and successfully tested in two Russian backbone banks. We are constantly expanding the capabilities of the platform and improving migration technologies from Western application servers to simplify the process of switching to domestic software for customers. said Dmitry Grebenshchikov, director of import substitution technologies at Diasoft.

All Diasoft software products run on the Digital Q.TomEE Diasoft. Also, application applications of other vendors developed in the Java Enterprise Edition standard can be seamlessly translated to it.
The Digital Q.TomEE infrastructure platform is part of Diasoft's Digital Q transformation ecosystem. The platform is included in the Unified Register of Russian Computer and Database Programs (Registry Entry No. 18179 of 05.07.2023).
2022: Digital Q.TomEE Presentation
Diasoft introduced the Digital Q.TomEE infrastructure platform on November 30, 2022, which is part of the digital transformation ecosystem Digital Q and is designed to manage JavaEE-compatible application servers. All software products developed by Diasoft will be transferred to the Digital Q.TomEE platform. The basis of the Digital Q.TomEE platform is the open source Apache TomEE software, which Diasoft took under responsible ownership, adding a large number of libraries and a more convenient interface.
Integration into the Digital Q.TomEE platform of the Open JDK virtual Java machine and support for standards ensures the safe operation and seamless transition of Java Enterprise Edition applications. The platform supports clustering tools, ensures fault tolerance and convenient linear scaling.
The Digital Q.TomEE platform is a full-fledged alternative to Oracle WebLogic Server and IBM WebSphere Application Server: the results of load tests of the new platform are comparable to analogues and even surpass some of them. Our specialists are ready to perform a project to migrate customer applications from Western application servers to our technologically independent counterpart. Along with this, we are ready to provide an expanded 24/7 support package and analyze the operation of the platform, ensuring uninterrupted operation, said Dmitry Grebenshchikov, director of import substitution technologies at Diasoft.
