2019: Announcement
June 25, 2019 The military innovation technopolis of Ayr provided the unmanned aerial vehicle which is made in the form of a polar owl. The presentation of innovation took place at a forum "Army-2019".
The drone weighing 5 kg can be transferred by one person and has the reduced visibility allowing to fly up close to the purpose and to determine its coordinates.
It is intended for high-precision determination of coordinates of prospecting land objects by an integrated range-metering method using a laser range finder designator and the GLONASS Global navigation satellite system, said in the product presentation. |
The device is equipped with the laser for targeting of artillery and aircraft. It is noted that it can fly without recharge up to 40 minutes, overcoming distances to 20 km. The UAV is capable to distinguish the land purposes to 10 meters.
Technopolice of Ayr also developed the UAV in the form of a falcon. Its distinctive feature is that it using the loudspeaker can imitate a sound of a falcon and frighten off birds in areas of airfields, RIA Novosti reports. The cost of birds intelligence agents is not reported.
These are not the first drones in a bird species. The American company Prioria Robotics told about production of the UAV in the form of a hawk in 2013, and in the 2018th announced creation of similar model in China. Also in shops Bionic Bird from the French producer is on sale. It is not engaged in shadowing, and serves rather as a toy.[1]
In addition to the drone intelligence agent and arms at a military and technical forum Army demonstration performances of aviation flight groups of Aerospace forces, special purpose divisions of the Baltic Fleet on the lake Komsomol are planned. Some of the major tasks will be solved within the scientific and business program.
