ESET Remote Administrator (ERA)

ESET submitted in July, 2016 the new version of the web console for centralized operation of ESET Remote Administrator (ERA). Absolutely new and advanced features of the solution simplify work of IT specialists and meet the requirements of the big and small companies.

The master of initial setup simplifying installation and deployment in any environment is developed for new users of the web console. The master explains the principles of work of ERA and allows to pass to further work with the web console at once.

In ERA process of deployment of the agent is improved. The built-in system of task management minimizes a downtime as operations are performed automatically at membership condition in dynamic group even if workstations are in a standalone mode and are not connected to ESET Remote Administrator.

In ERA process of registration of mobile devices is simplified: mass registration and also individual – through the link or the QR code. Additional benefit – automatic import to CSV.

The advanced web interface allows system administrators and security experts to perform monitoring of protection of network, to collect statistics and to monitor work with data.

ERA can be set on operating systems Microsoft Windows Server or Linux and also in virtual environment. The solution uses advanced instruments of centralized operation, supports protection of network and has the updated architecture minimizing administrative costs.

The web console of centralized operation ESET Remote Administrator passed in November, 2016 test in independent laboratory AV-Comparatives. The test was carried out in the infrastructure of small business including a file server and up to 25 workstations on the Professional SP1 Windows 7 operating system. Products of nine producers participated in it.

Experts estimated convenience of products in terms of non-management employees of the small companies without system administrator in the state. They paid attention to simplicity of installation and setup, design of the console, deployment of protection of workstations, response to threats.

The ESET Remote Administrator console received an award of Approved Business Product. Specialists of AV-Comparatives noted uniform intuitive design, availability of the reference information and convenient settings.
