2023: ESMART Reader DUAL USB Series with CCID Protocol Support

ESMART on October 16, 2023 introduced a new product in the line of universal desktop readers - ESMART Reader DUAL USB series with support for CCID protocol for reading and writing contactless and contact smart cards. The device is designed in accordance with modern security market requirements in terms of functionality and design.

DUAL readers can be used in almost any area of ​ ​ smart cards and RFID technologies. The device supports 2 interfaces for contactless and contact cards, has an additional SAM slot for security, and supports most contactless and contact smart card technologies (ISO 7816/ISO 14443/ ISO15693/ISO 18092). In addition to readers, ESMART CCID Driver drivers for Windows, macOS, Linux operating systems are provided, which are publicly available on the official website.

The novelty supports updating the firmware via USB. At the same time, the device has two connection options to choose from - a USB-A or USB-C connector, convenient for modern laptops.

The new ESMART Reader DUAL is produced at the company's own plant in Zelenograd and has a warranty of 3 years.

ESMART Reader GOST

The protocol reduces the economic costs of switching equipment: unlike Wiegand, fewer wires are used (4 versus 7), while OSDP devices are connected in parallel, which allows the same cable to be used simultaneously for several MCDS readers. The maximum distance from the readers to the controller is 1200 m.

ESMART Reader Announcement

The ISBC group of companies in March 2018 announced the development of domestic SCUD ESMART Reader readers.

The main feature of the system is the use of a mobile phone instead of a pass and smart cards. BLE and NFC technologies turn an iOS or Android device into an access identifier. The "Hands Free" mode allows you to open doors at a distance of up to 10 meters without even taking the phone out of your pocket. The system is configured and maintained using mobile applications and SDKs.

Domestic MCDS readers provide safe access. All ESMART Access chips, AIRTAG RFID key fobs, RFID bracelets, NXP MIFARE access cards using AES-128 and CRYPTO1, RFID/NFC hours, virtual cards on mobile devices can be used as identifiers.

ESMART Reader are manufactured at the ISBC plant in Zelenograd. As of the beginning of March 2018, the product line includes 3 models that differ in design and purpose - STONE, NEO and OEM. All models will be presented in Moscow on March 20.
