Softswitch ECSS-10 is a universal hardware and software system for the organization of communication systems of the operator and corporate level on the basis of technology of packet switching.

The modular architecture of a complex gives the chance to create nodes of a local, zone, intercity/international telecommunication, UPATS of different capacity and performance on its basis. ECSS replaces functionality of classical automatic telephone exchanges on the basis of channel switching and works as switch 4 and 5 of classes.

2019

Compatibility with the Yealink IP phones

On May 13, 2019 the ELTEX announced confirmation of compatibility of the Yealink phones with the products ECSS-10 and SMG.

Lines of the Yealink IP phones – T40G, T41S, T42S, T46S, T48S, CP920, CP960 successfully passed tests on working capacity with the hardware and software system Softswitch ECSS-10 (the version of software 3.11) and the trunk gateways SMG-1016M, SMG-2016, SMG-200, SMG-500 (the version of software 3.14.0).

These phones will also be supported by the Eltex Autoprovision system which will be delivered as a part of release of ECSS-10, version 3.14 planned for the 3rd quarter 2019. This subsystem is intended for automated management of settings of subscriber SIP telephones from different producers.

It should be noted that for May, 2019 Softswitch and SMG ensure smooth operation with the terminal equipment IP- phones of such third-party producers as D-Link, HTEK Siemens Panasonic AudioCodes Snom Grandstream, Yealink and Cisco. At the same time the ELTEX enterprise releases the series of IP phones with integrated to equipment rooms Ethernet- switch which existence allows to connect the PC and IP phone of the user on one physical line without reduction in the rate of transfer data.

Compatibility with Rutoken

On February 27, 2019 Eltex reported that the hardware and software system ECSS-10 Softswitch received the certificate of compatibility with different models of electronic identifiers Rutoken.

The number of compatible identifiers and smart cards included Rutoken S, Rutoken of the EDS 2.0, Rutoken of the EDS of 2.0 micro, Rutoken the EDS of 2.0 Flash, the Smart card Rutoken the EDS, the Smart card Rutoken of the EDS 2.0 2100, Rutoken of the EDS of PKI and Rutoken of the EDS.

According to the results of results of the testings held by specialists of JSC Active Soft companies and ELTEX Enterprise LLC the decision was made that ECSS-10 Softswitch will use carriers of the Rutoken keys.

2018: Version 3.11

On October 15, 2018 the ELTEX company provided the next functionality of ECSS-10 Softswitch (version 3.11).

According to the company, within release were:

  • The Avtoobzvon service is developed;
  • Support of additional functions phones Cisco of a series is expanded: 79XX; 88XX; 89XX.
  • The functionality of an automated workplace of the Operator and Supervisor is expanded: the uniform automated workplace of the Operator and Supervisor with an expanded set the statistician; intervention of the supervisor in a conversation of the operator in listen modes, consultations and conferences via buttons on the TA console.
  • The mechanism of the organization of modifiers for an input and exit is added to routing;
  • Routing of incoming calls in IVR scenarios on a call priority is implemented;
  • The feature for creation of folders and adding of media files by the administrator of SSW is added;
  • The possibility of use of the Calendar in the Time IVR block of scenarios is implemented;
  • The Groups of Monitoring application for management of the BLF and Presence groups is developed;
  • Support of the configured tunes of a call (Distinctive Ring) is implemented;
  • The Boss-secretary service is added;
  • The corporate reference book is developed;
  • The general performance improvement is implemented.

According to representatives of the company, the Avtoobzvon service allows to start automatic call-down of subscribers for the purpose of informing on services, debts, etc. It is necessary for activation of service:

  • create base of contacts;
  • make the text message which the integrated Yandex Speech Kit service will transfer to an audio-format;
  • start autocall-down through Softswitch control interface.

The Boss-secretary service allows to address all incoming calls of the head on phone of the secretary, at the same time on the telephone set of "boss" indication about an incoming call appears and the system button blinks, having clicked which the head can take away a call. During absence of the secretary in a workplace, incoming calls arrive directly to the head (the adequate notice arises on its telephone set).

The corporate reference book allows to conduct base of contacts of employees and gives such opportunities as:

  • access to employee base from the call center operator's automated workplace;
  • automatic export of base of contacts on the telephone sets supporting service of the telephone directory.

2017: Product description

For July, 2017 the main opportunities of a hardware and software system was the following:

  • The flexible modular architecture of a complex allowing to use it for the solution of all main tasks arising before the operator;
  • Support all demanded on network of telephone communication of the Far Eastern Military District with a possibility of expansion of this list;
  • The high performance of call processing reached by effective load distribution between complex modules;
  • The high reliability provided with modular architecture;
  • Possibility of flexible scaling and accumulation of performance of a complex;
  • Possibility of creation of distributed systems with support of geographical reservation;
  • Support of protocols both traditional, and VoIP of telephony;
  • Friendly to the operator configuration interface and managements;
  • Use in the system of open standards — protocols and interfaces;
  • The high reliability provided with modularity, reservation, isolation of errors and balancing of loading (the architecture was developed with the purpose to reach fault tolerance at the level of 99.9999%);
  • Hot swap of software without shutdown of the equipment;
  • Support of the SORM interface;
  • Transparent integration with IMS.

Reservation and fault tolerance

The modular architecture of ECSS helps to reserve program and hardware components of a system, creating highly reliable solutions. The basic properties put in architecture of a complex:

  • runtime allocation of loading between program components;
  • possibility of distribution of software modules between hardware components;
  • use of computing means of hardware resources of program architecture on the basis of parallel computings;
  • the possibility of geographical distribution of functional modules, the providing reservation - failure of a part of elements of a system does not lead to destruction of a system and interruption of already set connections and calls in a connection establishment phase.

The fault tolerance of software modules is provided:

  • clustering on a set of available hardware resources with a possibility of dynamic reconfiguring of a cluster;
  • Erlang/OTP use allowing to implement software updating without switching off of servers;
  • isolation of processes of service from each other at which the error of service of one call does not influence service of other calls;
  • the scheme the supervisor-contractor allowing to restart immediately a program component in case of detection of an error on it.

The fault tolerance of hardware is provided:

  • use of high-quality industrial servers;
  • use of a server cluster which failure of a part does not lead to failure of a system;
  • use of the stekiruyemy switches providing a trusted network of data transmission in a cluster and access to network of the operator;
  • use of disk RAID of the arrays ensuring safety of data.

For July, 2017 ECSS is a universal system based on which both standard communication hubs, and their different combinations providing implementation of needs of the operator can be built. It is possible to carry to standard solutions:

  • local communication hub;
  • communication terminal transit node;
  • zone center;
  • corporate multiservice communication network with the distributed structure.

Local communication hub

At creation of the local communication hub on the basis of ECSS-10 different technologies of access can be used:

  • Subscriber gateways TAU-72/36/32M.IP, TAU-1E/104/104F.IP;
  • The multiservice platform of access of MSAN MC-1000PX in structure with payments of the subscriber gateways FXS72 at creation of rural networks;
  • TsATS MS240 in structure with the IP gateway TM.IP at creation of rural networks;
  • The exchange service stations NTE-RG-xx, NTP-RG-xx at creation of FTTx networks on EPON and GPON technologies.


Communication terminal transit node

ECSS-10 complex can be used for the organization of uniform connection point to external network of several ATSE. At the same time expansion of subscriber capacity due to connection of subscribers using subscriber VoIP-gateways is possible, at the same time switching and network management is exercised of ECSS.


Zone center

At creation of zone centers advantage of ECSS-10 is the high fault tolerance, a possibility of flexible accumulation of number of ports and simultaneous connections due to increase in number of servers and geographical reservation of a complex. In zone networks under management ECSS-10 both IP, and TDM network can integrate (Time Division Multiplexing/time multiplexing).


Corporate multiservice communication network

At creation of a corporate communication network under management ECSS-10, connection of analog phones of employees via subscriber gateways of different capacity, connection of SIP telephones and program phones is possible. In the presence of additional and remote offices connection to them can be organized by carrying out of subscriber gateways under the SIP protocol, connection with another softsvichy in the territory of additional office on SIP-T/SIP-I and connection of hardware and program SIP phones. Thanks to a possibility of use of different types of the Far Eastern Military District by staff of the company, collecting of billing information and existence of the systems of centralized operation by network, use of ECSS-10 in corporate networks of different level is possible.


Application of ECSS helps

  • perform gradual hardware upgrade of the existing network;
  • expand a range of the services provided to subscribers;
  • it is flexible to create a set of services for each subscriber;
  • step by step to increase communication hub capacity without big capital costs;
