2023: Electrochemical Generator Plan
The electrochemical generator based on fuel cells will be developed jointly with the Center for Hydrogen Technologies of AFK Sistema. The development will increase the range of electric ships manufactured by Emerium (part of the Sitronics Group). Sitronics Group announced this on January 19, 2023.
ECG is designed for. generating electricity from hydrogen The result of the project will be the appearance Russia in the vessel operating on. alternative energy This will be an important step towards ESG transformation in. transport industries Russia
Initially, within the framework of R&D, the parameters and operating conditions of a hydrogen power plant on an electric car will be analyzed. Based on the data obtained, a power generator for a river passenger vessel will be created.
As of January 2023, hydrogen is the most environmentally friendly and promising type of fuel. The development of technologies with its use corresponds to the state tasks of systematically reducing the load on the environment and increasing low-carbon generation. Another important feature of the use of hydrogen is that it can significantly increase the range of an electric vessel. Therefore, we went into the development of a hydrogen generator and plan to re-equip the existing vessel with it. Water tests will be held already in 2023, - said the president of Sitronics Group Nikolai Pozhidaev. |
Foreign experience and economic calculations show that as early as January 2023 in the field of electric propulsion, hydrogen transport is more promising than battery transport. The energy intensity of systems based on hydrogen-air fuel cells, which means that the route range is much longer, and the charging time is multiple less than that of analogues based on lithium-ion batteries. - said Yuri Dobrovolsky, General Director of the Center for Hydrogen Technologies LLC. - AFK Sistema Group has formed assets based on its own business competencies and scientific competencies of the Russian Academy of Sciences to promote hydrogen technologies in the Russian market. The water hydrogen transport project, which is being implemented by the Hydrogen Technology Center together with Sitronics Group and Emperium, is one of the first in this direction. |
Emperium for January 2023 creates several types of river and lake-type passenger ships on electric traction - Ecocruiser high-speed catamarans with a capacity of 120 people, Ecovolt vessels for water walks and excursions, Ecobus for use as electric water buses. The company's shipyard is located in the city of Otradny, Leningrad Region. The first vessels have already been delivered for operation on river routes in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk.
