At the end of May 2021, Sber introduced an electric car developed by a company from its ecosystem, which is able to drive completely independently. The novelty was called "Flip."

The basis of the electric car was an electric platform developed by SberAutoTech. The developers called the layout of the power elements a feature of their product, which allows you to replace all modules in no more than five minutes, which is comparable to filling a standard car with traditional fuel. This solution actually removes the current restrictions for the use of electric transport: long charging of standard batteries and their high cost, dictated by the necessary capacity and margin of electric transport.

At the same time, not only electricity, but also other carriers of alternative fuel, including gas and hydrogen, can be used as energy sources for Flip.

The dimensions of the vehicle are comparable to the size of conventional passenger vehicles - 3.62 m by 1.95 m. However, the Flip is a variant of fully autonomous transport without the usual control systems. Thanks to this, the interior space is 40% more, which allows six passengers to be accommodated, according to Sber.

The Flip unmanned control system is completely original and uses lidars, radars and cameras. The car supports V2V and V2X standards for interaction with infrastructure and other unmanned vehicles. The company SberAutoTech states that Flip has the last, fifth level of autonomy - it is able to move independently in any conditions.

By the end of May 2021, SberAutoTech is conducting finishing tests of an electric car in accordance with current legislation for fully unmanned vehicles - only in closed territories, specified in Sber^[1]
