2024: Product Announcement

The Chinese car company GAC Group at the end of 2024 officially introduced the third generation of the humanoid humanoid robot GoMate, designed to perform tasks in car services, including car repairs.

The robot has 38 degrees of freedom and can switch between quadrupedal and bipedal modes of movement. The height of the device, depending on the mode, ranges from 1.4 to 1.75 meters. GoMate is capable of working without recharging for up to six hours thanks to its own built-in solid-state batteries.

GAC officials said the robot is designed to perform a variety of tasks in the automotive industry, including diagnosing, maintaining and repairing cars. In addition, it is planned to be used in areas such as security, health, logistics and education.

GoMate is equipped with artificial intelligence systems that allow it to independently make decisions, perform tasks with high accuracy and adapt to difficult operating conditions. The robot is designed to reduce power consumption by 80% compared to similar models, making it an effective solution for industrial needs.

At the presentation, the robot demonstrated the skills of movement, navigation control and autonomous actions. A feature of the model was the ability to work on production lines, including checking parts and servicing cars.

In 2025, GAC plans to begin pilot use of GoMate in several industries, including auto services. By 2026, the company intends to launch small-scale production of robots to meet the needs of industrial enterprises.

Other Chinese companies are leading similar developments, including BYD and Li Auto, which are building specialized teams to develop humanoid robots and artificial intelligence robotic systems.[1]
