2024: Start of deliveries
In April 2024, the Special Design and Technological Bureau of Applied Robotics (SKTB PR) presented mobile robotic fire extinguishing systems (MRUP). They have already been tested in the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the press service of the SEZ "Technopolice" Moscow, "whose resident is" SKTB PR, "new robots can supply a fire extinguishing agent at a distance of 60 meters, remotely working via a radio channel at a distance of up to one kilometer. The devices are equipped with television cameras, thermal imagers, chemical and radiation reconnaissance devices with the transfer of information to the control post in real time.
According to the Minister of the Government of Moscow, the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky, the company "Special Design and Technological Bureau of Applied Robotics" plans to produce about 50 firefighter robots per year. They can be used to extinguish fires of any hazard class at the most complex facilities, including nuclear power plants, mines and storage complexes, as well as in the uncontrolled spread of fire in natural conditions, he said.
The manufacturer has already received a declaration of compliance with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union "On requirements for fire safety and fire extinguishing equipment," which will allow it to be implemented and applied on the territory of the EAEU member countries. In addition, the robots confirmed the compliance of technical characteristics with the requirements of GOST.
At the beginning of 2024, two MRUP systems arrived at the Novovoronezh and Kalinin nuclear power plants. Emergency and fire safety structures are also showing interest in robots. In Moscow[1]
