2024: Recall of 32.2 thousand cars

Haval recalls about 32.2 thousand cars in Russia due to alleged electrical problems. This was announced by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) on January 29, 2024.

It is clarified that the Haval F7 and Haval F7x cars sold in Russia from December 1, 2022 to December 27, 2023 fell under the service campaign. As explained in Rosstandart, in recalled cars there is a risk of moisture entering the connector of the wire bundle under the seat, which can lead to a short circuit and reflow of the connector.

It is reported that the owners of the cars will be informed by letter or phone by CMMR. Rosstandart added that Haval owners can determine whether their cars will be recalled using the Garage Auto.ru service. The agency reported that in the recalled cars they plan to finalize the harness connector in order to avoid moisture ingress into it. Repairs will be carried out free of charge for the owner. The work will be carried out at official Haval dealerships and will be free for vehicle owners. The recall campaign began on January 29, 2024.

This is not the first recall of Haval cars on the Russian market.[1]

2023: Recall of 55 thousand cars

In November 2023, Havale, together with Rosstandart, announced a voluntary recall of four models: Haval F7, F7x, Jolion, Dargo. In total, 55 thousand cars will visit the service as part of the campaign. The recall included cars produced between July 2022 and June 2023. They do not have an emergency call device (UVEOS), which connects to the ERA-GLONASS state information system. As part of the service promotion, Haval crossovers will be equipped with UVEOS for free.
