Description of the LAN-4Tap
The LAN-4Tap application can be used in POS terminals, vending machines, kiosks, parking meters and other self-service devices, as well as in solutions for cashless payment for travel by public transport, including on turnstiles in the Moscow, Novosibirsk and Kazan metro, on the MCC.
LAN-4Tap supports debit/credit card financial transactions:
- Bank cards with magnetic stripe
- Bank microprocessor cards
- Bank microprocessor cards with contactless payment technology
- Specialized contactless cards
LAN-4Tap interacts with an external application through a COM object - LanCOM. It provides a single interface for banking, regardless of the host protocol used and the equipment installed on the self-service devices.
Supported OS:
LAN-4Tap works in a 32-bit environment:,,, operating systems Microsoft Windows XP 2003 but Windows 7 can be used in other Microsoft operating systems (,, Windows Vista 2008 as well as in 64-bit versions of the OS, including). Windows 10
According to the developers, there are examples of using LanCOM for Windows Embedded and for Linux (x86 with Wine).
LAN-4Tap logic:
The logic of work is built according to the "request-response" scheme. Before executing a request for an operation, you must fill the Request data object with a certain set of values (data depends on the operation being performed), pass this data object to the method interface that executes the request, and after executing the LAN-4Tap operation, read the result of the operation to the Response data object.
Supported operation schemes:
- Combining a response request in one method (Exchange () method). Used in virtual POS mode (no card readers or PIN)
- Event mode. Separate methods (StartAsyncExchange () and EndAsyncExchange () methods) are used to request and receive a response. After the request is sent, the application can receive events through the event interface as the transaction steps progress. This allows you to organize a user interface (GUI) with the client. This mode is intended for use on self-service devices.
