2023: Product Announcement

In early June 2023, the company McClic from Monaco introduced the MC One personal aircraft - this is an octacopter with a pilot's seat at the top. It is argued that the novelty is extremely easy to manage: anyone can fly after a 10-minute training session.

MC One belongs to the eVTOL class - an electric device with vertical take-off and landing. The natural weight is approximately 160 kg, while the weight of the pilot should not exceed 90 kg. The battery pack charge, according to the developer, will last for 12-15 minutes in the air. The lifting speed reaches 8 m/s, and the maximum speed of movement in the horizontal direction is 80 km/h. The roll angle is up to 55 degrees.

MC One Copter

The MC One design provides for the use of four dual carbon fiber screws, which are mounted on rods at the corners of the case. Behind the headrest of the pilot's seat, manufactured by the German company Recaro, there is a safety arc. Duplication of onboard systems to improve reliability has been implemented. Electronics and all sorts of sensors fully automate actions such as balancing, hovering in one place and holding position in strong gusts of wind.

McClic, a company specializing in aerial photography and the organization of drone shows, intends to sell MC One for $150,000. It is assumed that the novelty will compete with such aircraft as the Jetson One: this aircraft for $98 thousand is capable of developing a maximum speed of about 100 km/h and being in flight for up to 20 minutes. In addition, for $150 thousand, you can purchase an Air One electric aircraft with a fixed wing, designed for two people. This machine can move at speeds up to 250 km/h.[1]
