2025: Creation of the Strezh flight controller

Students of MISIS University have created an improved flight controller "Strizh" for unmanned aerial vehicles of an aircraft or multirotor type, made on a domestic element base. The university announced this on January 30, 2025. Thanks to the thermostating module, the device accurately determines the location, even in conditions of poor GPS operation. The development also has increased fault tolerance and increased processor frequency, has the ability to connect up to 50 devices, a built-in power module and an ammeter.

Flight controllers in UAV function as central computing module. Most of the devices on the Russian market are assembled from imported elements. This leads to a number of problems: limited support, long delivery times and instability. In the new "Strizha" developers use domestic power chips, connectors, microcontrollers.

We already have 10 companies with a potential order of over 1,000 controllers per year. The project is ready for piloting, for January 2025 we are conducting final tests, - explained semiconductor electronic engineers Sergey Kheifets, a student of the department and physics of semiconductors, head of the Club of Radio Electronics Developers at NITU MISIS.

The Club of Radio Electronics Developers is actively developing at NITU MISIS. We conduct classes for students, teach them to create circuits and make circuit boards, solder, program, assemble and pilot UAVs. We also fulfill the tasks of the department, we do joint projects with other universities, "he added.
