MTKS Reusable ship of the Slang

Basic purpose of Slang - supply of the space piloted station. Experimental working off of construction is going to be carried out on the carrier rocket "Union-2.1b", and then the translation variant on a methane reusable rocket "Union LNG" is considered. The Slang ship which at first is supposed as cargo and then and piloted, for 58% will consist of composite materials. A number of elements of a hull will be made at the plant created in 2019 in Voronezh.

In the long term developers expect to deliver by this ship freights to the Moon, and then - to make it piloted. The volume of a cargo compartment of the ship - 11 cubic meters, diameter - 4.1 m, height - 5.6 m, complete weight - 11.5 tons. The chairman of the board of directors of MTKS noted that the device will be able to take two tons of a load into an orbit and to lower one ton to Earth. According to him, the ship will be able to be in the structure of the near-earth station up to 300 days, in autonomous flight - month. Also Slang can be used for carrying out researches onboard, accomplishment of applied tasks with a possibility of return of the equipment and loads to Earth. The ship will fly up and return not less than 20 times.

The project is created with the assistance of the enterprises of Roskosmos. Engines will make the Design Office of Chemical Mechanical Engineering (DOCME) of A.M. Isaev (Korolyev, the Moscow region), the system of providing the thermal mode - the Keldysha Center, a management system - Mars Design office, a power supply system, a complex of the electro-and radio systems - Scientific production association of the measuring equipment (NPO IT). MTKS will make four samples of the reusable Slang spaceships for $136 million

The Russian private company "Reusable Transport Space Systems" (RTSS) will manufacture four technology models of the reusable Slang ship, their cost without the price of start is $136 million. In July TASS the chairman of the board of directors of the company Sergey Sopov reported about it.

Sopov also reported that for removal of Slang into an orbit it is going to use the carrier rocket "Union-2.1b", and further - a reusable rocket on methane "Union LNG". "We work with Progress rocket and space center on this subject", - he added.

Earlier Sopov reported that removal into an orbit of one kilogram of a load by the new Russian reusable Slang spaceship if to start it using the reusable carrier rocket, will be twice cheaper than if to perform its start at the expense of carriers "Union-2". Also it will be twice cheaper, than sending loads for an orbit by the Progress-MS freighters, he specified. The chairman of the board of directors of MTKS specified that service of ten flights of Slang can be carried out directly at the spaceport, without transportation on the plant.

According to Sopov, MTKS in the middle of 2021 will start construction in Moscow region Korolyov of the Command Center Flight (CCF) of the reusable Slang spaceship created by the company.

Serial production of the body and component parts for the spaceship called in honor of the vessel of Argonauts from Ancient Greek mythology can be unrolled in Voronezh.

The Russian company "Reusable Transport Space Systems" began to manufacture the body for a prototype of the Slang spaceship. This private transport spaceship will deliver freights to the ISS up to two tons.

As the chairman of the board of directors of the company Sopov Sergey told, her specialists together with colleagues after contract signature began work on design and production of a set of the equipment for creation of the body with the manufacturing enterprise.

To accelerate process of creation of the ship, the composite body for it was decided to be ordered in Germany as in Russia there are no own necessary technologies yet. Then serial production of the body and component parts is going to be unrolled also at us. Approximately such plant should appear in Voronezh.

"Thus, the prototype of the body can be delivered under installation of equipment and the beginning of ground tests in the first half of the year 2021", - Sopov noted.

The ship for 58% will consist of composites that will allow to reduce its weight considerably. The first test launch of Slang is planned for 2024.
