2024: Introduction of LLM model MTS AI in Front Platform

MTS PJSC, digital ecosystem, on September 4, 2024 announced the introduction of the LLM model MTS AI in Front Platform - a platform for accelerating the launch of sites and mobile applications. Artificial intelligence will allow you to form ready-made applications using requests to the neural network. The transition from phased development to settings for the interface of ready-made templates will speed up the launch of new products in multiples.

Front Platform is part of The Platform; a constructor platform that provides low code tools to quickly launch new products using the server-driven UI (SDUI) approach. It is integrated with the landscape API and can use different services, reuse solutions in projects and, thanks to process automation, reduce the load on IT teams by 30%. The integration of the LLM model into the Front Platform will help you create sites and get the application framework by text description. The creation of artificial intelligence interfaces also reduces business costs for frontend developers, leaving the control function of ready-made templates on the side of testers, analysts and product managers.

One of the main limitations of any SDUI solution is the increase in the complexity of the interface editor with the growth of library completeness, the design of components is solved by the LLM model in Front Platform. Artificial intelligence is used in the platform to generate an interface, at the request of the user, it creates screens of sites and applications in accordance with the MTS brand book. In the future, it is planned to continue to develop the company's API catalog so that the model can associate the user interface with backend landscape systems.

Large language models accelerate business. We have already partially transferred the development to generative artificial intelligence, freeing programmers for complex and interesting tasks. The launch of our own LLM on our key internal platform reduces the entry threshold, makes the system more convenient and understandable for all MTS employees, - commented Pavel Voronin, First Vice President for MTS Technologies.

All platform modules use open standards for integration with the ecosystem, which will allow it to be applied outside MTS, integrating their own component libraries and APIs.

2022: Transfer of MTS services to the platform

On November 24, 2022, MTS announced the transition to its own technological platform - The Platform. Within the framework of it, the Russian telecommunications operator unites all end-to-end IT solutions of the company's own ecosystem.

MTS expects that the new platform will reduce development costs and save more than 1 billion rubles by the end of 2022. The potential profit from the introduction of The Platform in 2023 is estimated by the telecom operator at 10 billion rubles.

MTS has transferred its services to a single platform

The Platform is positioned by MTS as a fundamental component of the technological transformation of the MTS ecosystem, which allows you to quickly create and scale services of any complexity. The Platform is based on a complex of service, technology and intelligent platforms, as well as security systems and business solutions.

As conceived by the developers, The Platform will free IT specialists from routine tasks: configuring system software and databases, monitoring, deployment, allowing you to focus on solving business problems. As a result, up to 30% of product team resources are released by reducing non-core load. The overall time for developing services is reduced, and the efficiency of each employee is individually increased. Thanks to the transition to The Platform, MTS plans to four times accelerate the launch of new products to the market and three times reduce business downtime due to technological incidents, the company's press service said.

They also noted that by November 24, 2022, all key products of the MTS ecosystem, including MTS Premium, KION, My MTS, MTS Travel and MTS Marketer, already use The Platform components. By 2023, more than 40% of MTS products and systems will be placed on a single platform.

It is also noted that within the framework of business solutions based on The Platform, partners are provided with open access to MTS ecosystem services in the form of APIs and tools for building seamless payments.^[1]
