Main articles:

Mobotix's intelligent video surveillance systems are based on its own Konica Minolta and Mobotix technologies.

Systems independently analyze recorded video material and activate certain actions. The software can determine traffic patterns, count the number of people, recognize the number of the car and monitor the boundaries of the protected object. Thanks to these features, intelligent video solutions surpass traditional CCTV systems in terms of security and ease of operation, Mobotix claims.

Mobotix cameras are made in Germany, provide a high-resolution picture. Cameras have a number of sensors that detect unauthorized access or temperature changes, and a powerful built-in computer that analyzes data, logically connects them and independently initiates actions to protect against threats.

Advanced solutions based on Internet of Things technologies provide monitoring and control of production processes, thus increasing the level of use of intelligent technologies in routine operations and business.

Applications:

  • Video surveillance systems
  • Video surveillance at construction sites
  • Mobile Video Systems
  • Access Control
  • Identification of vehicle license plates
  • Video analytics for retail
  • Early fire detection and prevention
  • Video surveillance at event venues

2021: Confirmation of cybersecurity

An independent company SySS evaluated security and certified the MOBOTIX 7 intelligent video platform, as well as MOBOTIX Mx6 surveillance cameras. The leading institute in the field of safety testing in Germany reaffirmed the high level of protection of MOBOTIX Konica Minolta series products. This became known on December 6, 2021.

During testing of hardware and software components, simulations are performed hacker attacks in several scenarios. They are fully consistent with what happens in reality and leads to abduction data around the world. SySS testers who study ways to prevent attacks are well acquainted with the latest methods of cybercriminals. Simulating attacks helps them look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in products.

The MOBOTIX 7 platform and the Mx6 series of video cameras are one of the famous IoT on the market. They are valued worldwide for their reliability, durability and energy efficiency. MOBOTIX cameras use the concept of decentralization, while supporting standardized ONVIF protocols, H.264, H.265, MJPEG and MxPEG video codecs.

2020: As part of Konica Minolta solution for visual inspection of packaging

On August 12, 2020, Konica Minolta announced the launch of the Box Defect Detection solution for checking the packaging surface in production and logistics. It combines quality control technology developed on the basis of artificial intelligence with Mobotix IoT cameras. More details here.

2019: Mobotix 7 launch

On November 27, 2019, Konica Minolta announced the launch of the MOBOTIX 7 solution platform and the M73 camera with artificial intelligence, deep learning and Internet of Things technologies.

Konica Minolta launches Mobotix 7 solutions platform

According to the developer, the MOBOTIX 7 intelligent platform contains certified MOBOTIX solutions based on deep learning. This enables platform users to build their own applications based on the MOBOTIX SDK.

As noted in Konica Minolta, the MOBOTIX M73 camera runs on the MOBOTIX 7 platform and uses Internet of things technologies. The camera has a powerful processor, an array with a resolution of 4K at a frame rate of 30 frame/s and a wide dynamic range of 120 dB WDR. Each M73 device is a full-fledged video system: the kit includes an 8-GB DVR digital video recorder, so no additional servers or storage devices are needed to work. The total power consumption of one camera is only 25 W (PoE+). Each device contains 15 applications that can be used for free during a 30-day trial period. After this period, users can purchase permanent licenses.

According to the manufacturer, the image and environmental sensors in the presented cameras are supplemented analytics on the basis of artificial intelligence. Therefore, systems can be used in industrial enterprises to increase production efficiency, preventive maintenance of equipment and ensure fire safety. Facial recognition and objects, along transport with flow monitoring, will help detect possible threats to transport and notify drivers and other traffic participants.

In addition to the listed applications, MOBOTIX 7 and M73 cameras can be used in civil engineering, energy, production, design of facilities, utilities, retail, healthcare and education, Konica Minolta emphasized.

MOBOTIX systems have proved compliance with world cybersecurity standards - in particular, the standards of the ONVIF International Forum, according to Konica Minolta.

2018: Mobotix video cameras and Video Intelligence software will be combined in a comprehensive solution

On April 17, 2018, Konica Minolta announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the domestic software developer in the field of video analytics "Video Intelligence." As part of the partnership, the companies will present on the Russian market a software and hardware solution for video analytics based on Mobotix video cameras.

The complete solution will include Mobotix hardware, Video Intelligence software and technical support at all stages of the project. Mobotix's functions for building heat maps (heatmap), recognizing movement in prohibited areas and directions will complement the Video Intelligence modules for recognizing abandoned objects, detecting aggressive behavior and forming crowds. Customized video analytics solutions can also be developed - individually for the needs of the customer.

Intelligent video surveillance systems in general are a number of video cameras and sensors combined into a single network that can collect and analyze information in real time. Such solutions are used to ensure the safety and control of employees in offices, hospitals, retail, the HoReCa segment, state and cultural and educational spaces, industrial facilities.

Cooperation of companies will include participation in joint development work (ROC), testing of new solutions, joint promotion of products to the market and scientific and educational activities.
