Free Access for Business

On April 25, 2019, the Moscow Department of Information Technology announced that it had opened free access for business to the Mos.ID Unified City Identifier, an authentication system mos.ru. Successful integration took place with PJSC Moscow City Telephone Network (MGTS). The introduction of Mos.ID allows commercial companies that provide Internet services to residents of Moscow to use the mos.ru authentication system on their website for free.

As reported, Mos.ID ensures the reliability of user data thanks to a genuine account that is checked in state data bases. To guarantee the security of accounts, two-factor authentication with counteracting password selection is used, the system is certified by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control to protect the Personal Data Information System (ISDS, K-1).

Confirmation of data with the consent of the user (genuine name, passport data, address, age, and so on) will expand the possibilities for providing online services, for example: authentication in, services car-sharing for posting ads, distance education y - Internetproviders or providing online statements from credit bureaus stories without an additional procedure for confirming identity.

For MGTS customers, integration with Mos.ID will increase the usability of services provided by the commercial platform. MGTS users can use account management services already familiar to citizens.

The system will simplify the life of Muscovites in the digital space, reduce fraud and become a single entry point into hundreds of Internet services for citizens. That is, it will eliminate the need to remember many passwords from different accounts. MGTS, as a reliable partner of the city, is one of the priorities for us, since millions of Muscovites use the company's services.

Ensuring the relevance of data by checking them in state databases

The peculiarity of this entry system is the relevance of the data stored in the system: the personal data entered during registration on the mos.ru (SUDIR system) are checked in state databases, the identity is confirmed in the MPSC or by linking a confirmed public service account and contains a large number of verified information (social networks confirm only the phone number and e-mail).

As a result, one user can have only one genuine account, and companies can provide services online (for example, provide the results of medical tests taken in a private clinic, an extract from a credit bureau without additional confirmation of identity).
