Launch of the version on the Aurora OS

MULTIFACTOR has launched its Multifactor mobile application based on the Aurora operating system. To send push notifications, the Push proprietary service is used. The developer announced this on April 26, 2024.

Previously, the Multifactor application worked only on Android, iOS and Harmony OS, now it is available on Aurora OS. The principle of operation on the Aurora operating system is the same as on other operating systems: the user needs to launch the Multifactor application installed on his smartphone, log in and activate the account. The application itself can be downloaded from the Aurora Market catalog.

The Multifactor mobile application for Aurora OS supports full functionality with account settings and control, access requests and OTP access confirmation.

The Multifactor application for Aurora OS is already available for download and is presented in the Open Mobile Platform catalog.

Multifactor version 1.3.0 with proprietary push service

On October 19, 2023, MULTIFACTOR published an update to the Multifactor mobile application version 1.3.0.

If the user has not previously configured the Multifactor mobile application, then first the device availability check will take place from Google Firebase services, then from Huawei Push Kit. Support for one-time codes for authentication

User accounts in the Multifactor application now contain a dynamic (changing once every 30 seconds) 6-digit code that can be used to gain access to corporate systems.

The customer administrator can select a priority authentication method for users of the mobile application in the group policy settings in the MULTIFACTOR system personal account:

  • "Push notification priority";
  • "OTP Priority."

In addition to integrated MULTIFACTOR accounts, users will now be able to add external authentication providers to the TOTP accounts application (similar to Google Authenticator). To register such accounts, the user just needs to scan the QR code using the Multifactor application. Accounts will be added marked "External."

The implementation of this functionality will allow MULTIFACTOR customers to use the Multifactor mobile application to protect both integrated and external information systems with limited integration capabilities.
