Naumen Data Aggregation Platform (NDAP)

Product
The name of the base system (platform): Artificial intelligence (AI, Artificial intelligence, AI)
Developers: Naumen (Naumen consulting)
Last Release Date: 2019/01/18
Technology: Data Mining,  MDM - Master Data Management - Management of the main master data,  Management systems for performance of network applications

Naumen Data Aggregation Platform (NDAP) is the platform for creation of the systems of intellectual monitoring.

2019: Inclusion in the Unified register of the Russian software

On January 18, 2019 the Naumen company reported that Naumen Data Aggregation Platform (DAP) is included in the unified register of the Russian software. Implementing solution will allow to predict up to 30% of failures in an information and technology or production infrastructure and to create recommendations about their prevention and also to improve effectiveness and efficiency of services/processes.

According to the company, Naumen DAP is the platform for creation of the systems of intellectual monitoring and the analysis of infrastructure of the enterprise. For January, 2019 key feature of the solution is existence of the built-in tools of predictive analytics that gives the chance to predict risks of emergence of failures and on the basis of data retrieveds to create recommendations about prevention of probable infrastructure problems. Naumen Data Aggregation Platform can be applied in the companies having a business and critical IT landscape and monitoring systems of the bottom level as the umbrella solution. Implementing solutions based on the platform allows to create "health model" of processes and services, to provide their efficiency for the purpose of improvement of final business results.

Naumen DAP allows to aggregate and process at the same time data from different sources (monitoring systems, management, SCADA and IoT-systems), and the quantity of subjects to observation can reach many tens of thousands without degradation of performance of the platform. The solution can effectively replace the systems of the corresponding class from the leading world vendors.

The Naumen DAP platform is included into a line of solutions for automation of service processes, including beyond the scope of IT, on the basis of technologies of Big Data, machine learning and natural languag processing – Naumen Service Management Intelligent Automation (Naumen SMIA) and also has deep integration with Business Process Management Suite of the enterprise – Naumen Service Management Platform.

2018: Features. Main Functions

As of June, 2018 the NDAP platform allows

  • Create interaction of processes and services, to reveal the difficult and dynamically changing communications
  • Create "health model" of processes and services on the basis of their business impact
  • Optimize performance and availability of services, providing efficiency of crucial processes and services that those, in turn, provided the deposit to business results
  • Create the recommendations of actions for prevention of possible problems of functioning of services

Basic functions of the platform

  • Data collection from devices and from different sources
  • Autonomous data processing and the automated decision making
  • Data visualization (creation of the interface)
  • Data integration into systems
  • "Intellectual" data exchange in a system
  • Formation of recommendations of process optimization

How it works?

Collection of information

Naumen Data Aggregation Platform collects, aggregates and processes data from different devices and devices:

  • indicators from internal or external systems of monitoring
  • the metrics collected from IT systems (time response characteristics of requests, data loading on employees, etc.)
  • data on industrial and technology equipment
  • data from profile management systems (processing, monitoring of ATM network, etc.)
  • business indicators (turnovers, deliveries, expenses, volumes)
  • unstructured data arrays

Processing

  • The acquired information is generalized, analyzed and profiled on the basis of approaches of machine learning and Data Science
  • Aggregation and data analysis is carried out in the active or passive modes. At an active method the server of monitoring is connected to devices independently, at passive — sending information is initiated from devices or any other external systems of monitoring and goes to Naumen DAP
  • Collecting and data exchange is based on support of protocols SNMP HTTP, JDBC, SSH, POP3, IMAP4 SMTP, JMX, WMI, etc.

Data output

The history of values of metrics can be shown, for example, in a schedule type or tables and is saved in two types:

  • In unprocessed (the database for time series of InfluxDB is used)
    • Advantage of such type: data remain "as is", without distortion of accuracy of time and value

  • In consolidated (the Round Robin Database database is used)

    • Advantages of such type of storage: in advance fixed amount of the space occupied on a disk; instant display of the consolidated values within the set intervals and functions (for example, mean value in a day, the maximum value in a week, etc.)

Process optimization

On the basis of the obtained and processed data it is possible to define:

  • compliance of functioning of processes and services to the set requirements
  • the reasons of the arising discrepancies
  • confirmation of accomplishment of corrective actions

Based on monitoring the corrective actions directed to further improvement of effectiveness and efficiency of services/processes are developed.

DAP & SMP

The DAP platform is closely integrated with the SMP platform. It means what via the SMP web interface can be configured, in particular:

  • set of the objects and their characteristics which are subject to monitoring
  • appearance of cards of objects of monitoring (devices, metrics, etc.)
  • access rights to functions of monitoring for different user groups
  • reaction to monitoring events (for example, to send the notification to the responsible or to register an incident)

At the same time NDAP is separate from the SMP application and can independently work.
