This was announced on September 12, 2022 by LANIT.
Russian business in 2022 was under the scrutiny of cybercriminals. In the event of increased cyber activity, it is critical to maintain continuity of business processes, ensure the availability of client services and platforms, and most importantly, their security. The task of filtering traffic has become especially urgent.
The security gateway from UserGate is a Russian network security complex that protects network traffic and implements the functionality of a firewall, proxy server and VPN gateway.
Onlanta has deployed the solution in the OnCloud cloud. This will help protect your cloud infrastructure from malicious traffic and filter it.
The Russian market for September 2022 feels a shortage of highly qualified specialists who have all the competencies for the implementation and operation of complex IT and information security systems. The network security complex will allow businesses not to hire additional resources: all tasks from implementation to monitoring the operability of the solution are carried out by specialists from the Onlanta information security service. So our customers get a ready-made tool to protect network traffic and do not spend resources on its implementation, configuration and support. said Murad Mustafayev, head of the information security service of Onlanta.

2021: Using JaCarta Authentication Server for Authorization
Onlanta (part of the LANIT group) has implemented two-factor authentication when working with a remote desktop service (VDI) in a secure cloud OnCloud.ru. Authorization is based on the JaCarta Authentication Server (JAS) solution developed by Aladdin R.D. LANIT announced this on February 11, 2021.
Weak passwords are one of the most common causes of unauthorized access to a secure system, but increasing password complexity requirements does not always provide a significant improvement. Such passwords are difficult to remember and use. The most effective solution is the use of multifactor authentication.
JaCarta Authentication Server (JAS) is a software solution to improve security and enhanced user authentication. The implementation of JAS does not take much time and resources, since there is both a cluster and standalone implementation to choose from. The solution provides flexible and convenient authentication management with a large number of supported systems and services: from self-written applications to remote banking systems, as well as the ability to create a failover cluster for uninterrupted availability.
Previously, when working with the VDI service, users entered only a domain password. Now, when authorizing, employees will also enter a six-digit automatically generated code - the authenticator. If the domain password can be hacked, then the password code cannot be forged during two-factor authentication. This provides additional security. The JAS solution supports any software (Aladdin 2FA, Yandex.Key, Google Authenticator) and hardware OTRS tokens (TOTP, HOTP), as well as U2F tokens. Two-factor authentication is an additional layer of security, a guarantee that only an employee can access the account, even if the password has become known to someone else.
Users can access the virtual desktop from any device and anywhere in the world. In this case, workplaces are created with predetermined technical parameters, operating system and software, depending on the role of the employee in the company.
The choice in favor of the solution from Aladdin R.D. was made based on the results of monitoring the market for two-factor authentication solutions. JAS completely closes all tasks, and the fact of its registration Unified Register of Russian Programs in the computer databases Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media became decisive for us, said Murad Mustafayev, head of the information security service of Onlanta
|
A wide range of JAS functionality - enhanced user authentication using one-time passwords, strict user authentication using the U2F protocol, authentication on desktops, laptops, simple integration with application software using standard protocols, as well as high performance (more than 1000 authentications per second) - allows not only to meet the most difficult tasks of customers, but also to ensure the high quality of the services provided, which is confirmed by an increase in demand for the product and an increase in the number of implementation projects. We are pleased to partner with Onlanta and hope that users will appreciate the ease and convenience of using the complete solution, noted Vladimir Bychek, Product Director, JMS&JAS, Aladdin R.D.

Load testing 1C:ERP 2.2 in Oncloud.ru
On February 14, 2017, the company Onlanta"" "First BIT" and reported on load testing 1C:ERP 2.2 and the start of providing the system according to the model from the SaaS cloud Oncloud.ru.
During testing of 2.2 1C:ERP for 10 and 15 thousand users, the total number of documents created and posted in the system exceeded 180 thousand. These are documents of movement in warehouses, mutual settlements with counterparties, purchases, sales, documents for assembly and processing, cargo customs declarations - more than 20 different types of documents in total.
Tests of 1C:ERP 2.2 were carried out within five weeks. During this time, Onlanta specialists observed an uneven load distribution between different elements of the computing infrastructure with an increase in the intensity of computing processes. Representatives of the provider revealed conditions when a lack of resources is possible and developed an algorithm for compensation "in dynamics," without reducing the quality of the SaaS service for end customers.
The test results of 1C:ERP 2.2 showed that in a calm mode, the equipment for the operation of "heavy" systems should not be 100% loaded. A margin of safety is required to overcome "turbulence." The causes of turbulence must be identified and dealt with, but the system must be ready to work until the problem is fixed.
Planning server capacity for enterprise deployments is challenging. When building your own IT infrastructure, there are still risks of errors that lead to either excess power or lack of computing resources as the number of users grows or the functionality of the system expands. The described situations lead to financial losses. They can be avoided when transferring an ERP system to the cloud, since here we move on to the IaaS model and, if necessary, can flexibly increase or decrease computing power. This option is economically profitable for the customer. Oleg Konovalov, Head of Cloud Services OnCloud.ru Onlanta |
Many Chief information officers are convinced that to implement an ERP system, you need to build your own complex with preliminary and certainly expensive sizing. Testing the 1C:ERP 2.2 system in the cloud Oncloud.ru revealed that in a number of situations it is optimal to place the system in the cloud. Based on observations of the system operation in test mode, we predict an additional decrease in the requirements for the volume of leased cloud resources to new "peak" needs. These nuances will favorably affect the cost of renting virtual computing power. The less capacity is rented, the less the cost of service for business. Stanislav Tokarev, Head of Cloud Computing and IT Outsourcing at First BIT |
For economic and technological reasons, we include systems with more than 600 users. To the "super-big" - more than 14 thousand. Now we have significantly expanded the boundaries of how many simultaneous users can be in an ERP system in the cloud. It turned out that such heavy systems as ERP in the server part of the code withstand the work of the main application code of the solution for 15 thousand connections, which, according to the idea and according to the conditions of the experiment, is equivalent to 15 thousand users in the same area, and this is not the limit of the capabilities of the systems. Thus, a reliable technical bridgehead has been created to begin the development of the zone of "super-large" systems. Eugene Filippov, head of the technology center of the company "First BIT" |
2015: SLA changes for OnCloud.ru
Since the beginning of 2015, Onlanta (part of LANIT Group of Companies) has made changes to the SLA for the provision of cloud services OnCloud.ru in terms of the methodology for measuring indicators of service availability. According to the new SLA, the availability of the Infrastructure Service (IaaS), for which Onlanta is responsible to the customer according to the agreement, is defined as an integrated assessment based on three independent parameters - the availability of the virtualization environment, the availability of the storage system and the availability of the data center network .
The customer's confidence in cloud services, in addition to ensuring the information security of services, depends on the stability of the quality of services provided. One of the main parameters of this quality is the availability of cloud services: the period of time guaranteed by SLA, when computing resources work, the performance of these resources corresponds to the declared parameters and users have access to applications located on these resources.
The cloud is a rather complex environment and the real availability of services depends on many components involved in the formation of the customer service and the parameters of the cloud infrastructure. The resulting availability is defined as the product of these components and will therefore be lower than the availability of each. But carrying out such a multivariate analysis during cloud operation is not an easy task. Quite often, one parameter is specified as an availability parameter in SLA and marketing materials: either the availability of the virtualization environment - a hypervisor, or the availability of the engineering infrastructure of the data center, which is insufficient to assess the availability of the service and the health of the customer's application.
"Onlanta," moving to control the three key components of the cloud's IT infrastructure, gives the customer a more realistic picture, important for solving his tasks of ensuring the health of applications. The proposed approach motivates the provider to ensure the quality of the service, taking into account a wider number of parameters.
