DCImanager Compatibility

and ISPsystem Open Development Center certified the compatibility servers of OpenYard and the multivendor management platform. IT infrastructure DCImanager ISPsystem announced this on March 5, 2024. Customers can now step aside both import substitution in terms of equipment and when choosing to software manage it.

In March, the companies conducted compatibility certification to provide Enterprise server users with a hardware management platform. Companies are also preparing to conduct this procedure for servers in the OCP line.

Launch of mass production of equipment at the plant in the Ryazansky technopark

The Open Development Center company, which produces servers under the OpenYard brand, announced on December 5, 2023 the start of mass production of equipment at its own plant, which is located on the territory of the Ryazansky technopark. The complex with a total area of ​ ​ over 8000 square meters. m provides full-cycle production in the amount of more than 60,000 units of server products per year. As of December 5, 2023, the site is operating in full load mode.

In November 2023, OpenYard received the status of an independent manufacturer. Despite the change in the ownership structure, OpenYard fully retained all the assets and resources necessary to support and further develop server solutions: intellectual property, an experienced team of engineers, unique developments in the OCP (Open Compute Project) architecture, as well as the production site of server equipment, which became the first commercial production on the territory of the Ryazansky Technopark.

Completion of the enterprise construction

According to Maxim Koposov, director of Promobit, Yandex expects that new servers will be included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Due to this, the company will be able to gain access to public procurement.

A source Kommersant in the electronic industry says that OpenYard equipment will be included in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, despite the manufacture of foreign components. He added that the company will release motherboards and conduct a large-node assembly of servers. This will allow you to score the required number of points to enter the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Yandex has completed the construction of an enterprise for the production of its own servers

According to another source, after debugging production, OpenYard will take about 10% of the market. Currently, more than half of server sales in Russia are accounted for by foreign manufacturers: Huawei, HP, Dell. Among domestic leaders are Yadro (about 15% of the market), Aquarius (10%) and Kraftway (7%).

2021: The start of construction of a server plant for 1 billion rubles near Ryazan

On October 6, 2021, Yandex announced the start of construction of a plant for the production of server equipment in the Ryazan region. We are talking about an enterprise that is jointly created by Yandex, Lanit, Gigabyte and VTB.

A new production complex will appear on the territory of the Ryazansky industrial park. Servers, storage systems, gateways and components of smart devices under the Openyard brand will be launched there. The area of ​ ​ the site for the construction of the complex is 8 hectares, the first stage will include production lines, laboratories and test areas. All operations will be carried out at the plant, from surface installation of components to testing of finished products.

A server production plant began to be built near Ryazan for 1 billion rubles

As TASS explains with reference to the general director of the joint venture Alexei Belogortsev, the enterprise plans to establish production from applying components to textolite to testing with laboratories and stands "so that we are sure that the final product can be used and installed in any data center without any problems."

The partners plan to release the first server at the plant by the end of 2022. Gigabyte specialists will start commissioning the plant, and Yandex developments and technologies will be used in the design of servers. At the initial stage, the joint venture will invest more than 1 billion rubles in production

The Governor of the Ryazan Region Nikolai Lyubimov called this project "breakthrough," explaining his words by the fact that "this is actually being done in Russia for the first time. According to him, in the future this plant may contribute to the launch of other production projects.
