PCTEL SeeGull IBflex the Scanning receiver

Product
Developers: PCTEL
Last Release Date: February, 2018
Branches: Telecommunication and communication
Technology: Network Health Monitoring - Monitoring of network or management of health performance of IT Infrastructure

SeeGull IBflex is a line of the scanning receivers of production PCTEL intended for complex testing of the radio networks, fast identification and problem solving reducing their performance.

The scanning SeeGull IBflex receiver

The version of PCTEL SeeGull IBflex with expanded frequency range allows to test networks of emergency services in the frequency ranges of 150 MHz and 450 MHz, LTE network, not licensed range of 5 GHz.

The improved instrumentation system including data on Wi-Fi can be used for increase in a covering and capacity of networks, customer satisfaction and maintenance of long-term efficiency of functioning of wireless networks in buildings.

The scanning IBflex receivers provide precise basic measurements which operators can use for providing a qualitative covering and reliability of NB-IoT network. Measurements of the receiver are crucial for deployment and optimization of NB-IoT of networks.

Measuring IBflex receivers provide control of the main characteristics of network performance of NB-IoT by means of measurement of signals of NB-IoT in all three operation modes (In-Band, Guard Band and Stand Alone).

Held for use as inside, and out of premises, measuring IBflex receivers can provide the testing necessary for determination of quality and optimization of a covering of NB-IoT for a broad spectrum of applications. IBflex receivers can also take at the same time traditional measurements of LTE network, along with NB-IoT testing.

The scanning PCTEL SeeGull IBflex receiver in general is designed to help telecom operators to meet qualifying standards to network performance for crucial industrial and corporate applications, will provide measuring accuracy, easily adapting to advanced technologies, such as NB-IoT, LTE-M and MulteFire.

2018: Functionality of testing of NB-IoT networks

Company 2Test, the official distributor of a metering equipment for wireless networks of communication of production PCTEL in all territory of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries, in February, 2018 announced the output of the updated scanning IBflex receiver — now with functionality of testing of networks of narrow-band Internet of Things of NB-IoT.

NB-IoT represents the LPWA technology of transfer of telemetered informations from sensors, metering devices and other devices of Internet of Things on long distances operating on LTE networks including small cells. The updated scanning IBflex receiver is complemented with functionality of measurements of NB-IoT, providing exact testing of a covering and reliability of network that is crucial for its deployment and the subsequent optimization, emphasized in the company.

According to PCTEL, measuring IBflex receivers provide high reliability of performance measures of NB-IoT network thanks to measurement of signals in all three operation modes: In-Band, Guard Band and Stand Alone.

While LTE networks usually unroll for the purpose of increase in capacity, NB-IoT network — for expansion of a coverage: including, in premises, underground and remote areas. So, mobile operators can use small cells of NB-IoT for the purpose of providing a required covering for the systems of industrial automation, telemedicine, monitoring of city infrastructure, remote control with energy consumption and others. Developed for measurements and optimization of a covering of NB-IoT as in premises, and outside the IBflex scanners help to meet requirements imposed to network performance for a set of crucial industrial and corporate applications.

The scanning PCTEL IBflex receivers also at the same time perform traditional measurements of parameters of LTE network, along with testing of NB-IoT and other standards of communication, such as LTE-M and MulteFire.
