2019: Parallels Toolbox 3.5 for Windows and Mac

On July 23, 2019 the Parallels company released upgraded version of Parallels Toolbox 3.5 for Windows and Mac with constantly expanded set from more than 30 useful utilities for Windows and Mac.

"We complemented our standard set of utilities with such tools as "Break time", "Economy of energy", "Hide menu icons", "Clipboard history" and "The dream timer", noted Nikolay Dobrovolsky, the senior vice president of Parallels for development and support

The Parallels company also entered improvements to the referral program of remunerations for clients. Thanks to it when users or subscribers of trial versions invite friends to get acquainted with Parallels Toolbox, the user and his friend receive an additional subscription for three months.

The added tools in Parallels Toolbox 3.5 for Windows:

• Economy of energy. Activates several settings, including the hidden parameters which reduce resource consumption of a system and increase work term from the battery, providing economy of energy to eight percent. This tool automatically determines transition to a battery supply and activates parameters which the user can include or disconnect.
• Break time. An output of regular notifications that it is time to rise because of a table and to take a break in work. The user himself can set the periods of work from 30 to 50 minutes and time of a break from 1 to 15 minutes.
• Load audio. Loading of separate audiofiles from the supported websites. Besides, in the provided version with YouTube it is possible to load lists of reproduction.

The added tools in Parallels Toolbox 3.5 for Mac:

• Clipboard history. Writes the data copied in Mac clipboard including the literal text and the text with formatting. Besides, the tool supports full-text search, "favorites" and parameters for collecting of contents for the specified time frame (at most 30 days). The user can also suspend data collection or exclude these or those applications, configuring the tool as it is convenient.
• Hide menu icons. Allows to hide some icons in the Mac menu bar, creating two sets of icons: visible and invisible. Less important icons become visible, only if the user clicks tool control in the Mac menu bar. The hidden icons automatically disappear when the user returns to work with applications from the control menu.
• Economy of energy. Activates several settings, including the hidden parameters which reduce resource consumption of a system and increase work term from the battery, providing economy to eight percent. This tool automatically determines transition to a battery supply and activates parameters which the user can include or disconnect.
• Dream timer. Allows to set the timer of transition to the mode of a dream or shutdown of the computer from the moment of clicking of the Start-up button, helping to save energy. It is possible to set operating time of 15 minutes till 6 o'clock.

Possibilities of tools as a part of Parallels Toolbox for Windows:

• Preserving of files. Parameters of preserving of files are deleted from the Parallels Toolbox application and added to separate tools to simplify management.
• Marking of screenshots. Improvement of integration into system tools for a marking of screenshots and enhanced capabilities of editing.

Upgraded versions of the existing tools in Parallels Toolbox for Mac:

• Clean a disk. Users can see the deleted files and also execute their search in Finder better to control process.
• Find duplicates. An opportunity at the same time to select several duplicates simplifies representation of the general size and sorting of files.

As of July, 2019 free versions of Parallels Toolbox 3.5 are already available to Windows and Mac as separate products on the website parallels.com/toolbox. The cost of an annual subscription to each product — 1150 rubles. The annual license includes free updates during all validity period of a subscription.

2018: Parallels Toolbox 3 for Windows and Mac

On November 7, 2018 the Parallels company presented the solution Parallels Toolbox 3 for Windows and Mac which offers even more the simple and convenient tools in use allowing to carry out routine computing tasks only one-two cliques. As the developer noted, using the solution users will be able quickly to find the necessary tools in the Toolbox window on the PC or Mac and also to select tools and folders for adding from Parallels Toolbox.

Opportunities in Parallels Toolbox 3 for Windows:

• Find duplicates: it is possible to execute search on any disk or in any folder quickly to find identical files (even if their names do not match) and to release space on a disk.
• Change the size of images: package conversion of images to the necessary size and file format. It is necessary just to drag source images in a tool window, to select the necessary output format (. HEIF, JPEG, TIFF or PNG), the size and the folder for preserving and then to press the mouse button.
• Timer of transition to sleep mode: it is possible to set time of shutdown of the PC or its transition to sleep mode and to press the mouse button.

• The Safari expansion for loading of video: convenient expansion for loading of video from the Safari browsers provides quick access for loading of videos from the Internet on a desktop (compatibly to versions 10.14 and Safari 12);
• Dark mode: support of the Dark mode in macOS Mojave;
• The configured Save as function: all tools support a possibility of the choice of the folder when preserving new files instead of their preserving in arrangement by default. This opportunity increases efficiency;

• Take: fast unpacking of archives of different formats (RAR, RPM, XAR, Z), including also formats which are not supported by the built-in system utility. For this purpose it is necessary to click the file of archive to begin extraction of files even from the archives password-protected.
