2021: Smartphone Announcement
In mid-July 2021, Qualcomm introduced its own smartphone, designed primarily to demonstrate new chip manufacturer technologies. The American manufacturer intends to sell the device first to members of the Snapdragon Insider program, launched earlier in 2021.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile device runs operating system Android 11, has a 512-gigabyte drive, 16 GB of RAM, a 6.78-inch Samsung OLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a fingerprint scanner (using Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 technology). The processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
Qualcomm states that this model provides "the most complete support for all key 5G bands up to 6 GHz and mmWave" among all devices, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and WiFi 6E wireless standards with a data rate of up to 3.6 Gb/s. On the rear panel is a triple main camera, including a 64-megapixel main module based on the 1/1.73-inch Sony IMX686 sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module (with macro shooting function) and an 8-megapixel module for shooting photos and videos. The camera is supplemented by an optical image stabilization system for the main and telephoto modules.
Qualcomm states that it is one of the first smartphones with Snapdragon Sound support, which provides low transmission delay through Bluetooth, support for listening profiles, active noise cancellation (ANC) and high-resolution sound up to 24 bits 96 kHz. In addition to stereo speakers, the smartphone is equipped with Master & Dynamic wireless headphones with True Wireless ANC technology and a charging case.
The battery capacity of the battery is 4000 mAh. At the same time, the battery supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 5 technology, which allows you to charge the battery up to 70% in 30 minutes, and full charging takes 52 minutes. It is also known that the smartphone is equipped with two slots for SIM cards.[1]
