The software package for automation of trade of RS-Balance 3 is based on the newest technology principles of work with data and combines advantages of the ready-made solution with opportunities of flexible functional configuration under business logic of the enterprise.

Using RS-Balance 3 a common information space is created and, as a result, there is no need of data transfer between modules and subsystems of a complex.

When developing the object-oriented approach was used. A system is open for functional expansion, for this purpose there are built-in extenders of functionality and creation of the interface. Different options of geographically distributed work of the enterprise client with use online and offline modes are implemented. For implementation of specific client business processes it is possible to use all most widespread macro languages.

RS-Balance 3 WMS for 3PL-operators

In connection with significant growth in a share of 3PL-operators in the market of warehousing services, the R-Style Softlab company made the decision on release of the new boxed WMS solution developed specially under requirements of the small warehouses rendering services in safe custody.

The feature of automation of such warehouses consists in need to keep account of diverse business processes by clients and to work at the same time with individual requirements of various groups of goods (expiration dates, account of lots, etc.). to 3PL-operators who need to start a warehouse and to start customer service in most short time, the software of RS-Balance 3 WMS is ideal as it universal, flexible, is quickly established and configured, has all functionality necessary for a 3PL-warehouse and also is economic.

RS-Balance 3 WMS for 3PL-operators represents the software product completely ready to implementation due to presence of a certain volume of already ready functionality. This solution can be set on any in terms of the scope of a warehouse within 14 days, and it will not be required reprogram it under individual parameters of the customer.

The basic configuration of the boxed solution RS-Balance 3 WMS for 3PL-operators includes the following functionality:

• import of commodity reference books of clients;
• maintaining the commodity reference book by owners of goods;
• support of hierarchy of enclosure of packagings and rules of recalculation;
• setup of reference books of personnel and users of a system;
• a configuration of an address space, setup of warehouse space for storage of different standard sizes (euro, American and Finnish), settings on accounting of the maximum weight of goods in a cell and capacity of a cell;
• management of different methods of write-off (FIFO, LIFO, FEFO);
• setup of support of requirements for account of lots, serial numbers, dates of production, expiration dates;
• setup of automatic change of the status of the validity of goods depending on current date;
• carrying out inventories with drawing up the corresponding documentation, inventory adjustment, blocking of required cells;
• control of work of personnel with a possibility of the analysis of the happening processes;
• report generation on the basis of standard templates and a possibility of development of new client reports.

RS-Balance 3 WMS "Warehouse of Food"

On May 3, 2014 the RS-Balance company announced release of the add-on module for use in warehouses and large distribution terminals of producers and product providers of a power supply.

The industry solution has specifics:

• Process automation of storage, processing, accounting of weight goods.
• Process automation of storage, processing, accounting of goods with expiration dates.

Use of RS-Balance 3 WMS helps to perform modern requirements to storage and processing of food, taking into account restrictions on expiration dates, observance of the modes of temperature storage, control of series, goods write-off from a warehouse, accounting of weight goods. Provides information on each series of specific goods.

RS-Balance 3 WMS "Warehouse of Food" with the minimum costs helps to manage goods, loads which are considered by batches, on expiration dates, series and other parameters, provides easy access on the movement of goods on all stages of delivery.

Integration with ASS ICAM

On October 21, 2014 the RS-Balance company announced integration of the RS-Balance 3 WMS system and the automated warehouse system of the Italian company Icam.

Works on integration are carried out within two weeks. The created solution will be on sale with systems as boxed.

Systems capabilities:

• Perform fixing of shipment of orders from a warehouse.
• Make placement of the picked-up positions in the marked packagings, pallets.
• Make selection of positions from ASS according to the rules configured according to client requirements.
• Load into the system of the request for selection.
• Apply different rules of placement of the nomenclature in ASS, looking at requirements and properties of positions of the customer.
• Place in ASS in the marked contents units the nomenclature.
• Perform printing of labels for nomenclature a pallet, packages, positions, packagings.
• Apply data collection to acceptance of goods items.
• Apply the storage units marked by unique codes, pallets to the nomenclature.
• Perform input of requests for acceptance in the system of nomenclature positions, using the standard interface.
• Load from external files of different formats of the request for acceptance.
• Accept from the accounting system of the available customer of the request for acceptance, placement.

The description of maintaining the project at system implementation of RS-Balance 3 WMS

Components and description of technology of maintaining implementation project:

1. Analysis (description) of warehouse processes or Preproject inspection.

Usually work is based as follows:

• Holding installation meeting (submission of the project, appointment responsible, viewing warehouse, drawing up scheduled plan).
• Collection of information at the enterprise ZAKAZCHIKA (interviewing otv. employees) and design of results of inspection:
• Determination of the principles of work of a warehouse. Wiring design of warehouse processes
• Wiring design of information exchange between the accounting system and WMS.
• Development of requirements to initial loading of all data types before start of a system.
• Development of requirements to an order of start of a system.
• Development of requirements to audit of actions of the user and authorization matrix.
• Determination and description of completions of a system (if necessary)

• Approval of results of inspection. Correction of the revealed notes.

Resources of ZAKAZCHIKA: The working group from ZAKAZCHIKA: the project manager (is responsible for coordination of project works, acceptance of works), responsibles in the directions (the specialists undergoing interviewings).

Resources of ISPOLNITELYA: The working group from ISPOLNITELYA: the project manager (is responsible for coordination of project works, acceptance of works), the Business analyst on warehouse processes (directly performs execution of works, interviewing, the description, etc.)

Purpose of this stage: in details to describe technology of work of a warehouse for the subsequent setup of a system under requirements of ZAKAZCHIKA. Creation of "Technical specifications on implementation" with hourly detailing of settings and completions. Obtaining actual implementation cost.

In addition during interviewing and the description, "bottlenecks" of processes come to light, on the basis of the available experience the Business analyst of the Contractor can suggest the Customer to optimize processes, to offer the technology capable to reduce costs for warehouse processing of goods.

Term: of 1 month to 2.5.

2. System implementation:

Preparation of a system:

• Setup and completion of the RS-Balance 3 WMS system according to the end results of inspection and internal testing.
• Development of integration of RS-Balance WMS with the Accounting system according to the end results of inspection and internal testing.
• Development of initial data loading in RS-Balance WMS according to the end results of inspection.
• Setup of audit of actions of users according to the end results of inspection and internal testing.
• Development of work instructions for operators and storekeepers (Operator of warehouse, TSD Operator)
• Installation of a system:
• Installation of RS-Balance3 System on the Customer's equipment: on the server and workstations.
• Check of operability of the RS-BALANCE 3 system regarding the server hardware, jobs, the system software, DBMS, a local network and the equipment WiFi
• Training of employees:
• Personnel training of the Customer according to instructions.
• Conducting acceptance testing (trial operation) on control examples.
• Start of the RS-Balance 3 WMS system in commercial operation and initial maintenance:
• Input of real data on a remaining balance of goods on storage locations according to the results of the inventory which is carried out by the Customer.
• Operation of a system. Maintenance of work of the Customer in a System.
• Resources of ZAKAZCHIKA: The working group from ZAKAZCHIKA: the project manager (is responsible for coordination of project works, acceptance of works), responsibles in the directions (the specialists accepting a system according to Results of inspection), training of technical specialists of ZAKAZCHIKA, for independent support of a system, or independent replication on other objects (warehouses) is possible.
• Resources of ISPOLNITELYA: The working group from ISPOLNITELYA: the project manager (is responsible for coordination of project works, acceptance – delivery of works), the Business analyst on warehouse processes, specialists of implementation, testers, documentors, programmers (in need of completions).

Term: from 1 month to 4 months.

Estimated cost of an implementation project.

The implementation project of a system consists of three components:

• Inspection (the separate agreement is signed) with a fixed amount.
• System implementation (the separate agreement is signed) with the fixed amount calculated and approved with ZAKAZCHIKOM based on inspection.
• Cost of licenses of the RS-Balance WMS system.

And, above all that all companies after RS-Balance WMS system implementation, gained economic effect:

• Significant decrease (practically to "zero") losses of goods, the damage of goods connected with the expiration of expiration dates.
• Increase in a customer loyalty of the company, there are no moments with a goods underdelivery, a resort.
