Start of service of the order and shipment at own expense in all cities of presence of Tape
The retail network "Lenta" announced on December 2, 2020 start of service of the order and shipment at own expense in all cities of presence of the company. The service of express delivery is available to inhabitants more than 70 cities and until the end of the year will earn through the whole country.
Residents of 88 cities can issue the order in a personal account on the website lenta.com and take away goods from nearest Tape in time, convenient for them. To the order 80 percent of the range of goods, including alcoholic products, at the cost, identical with shop, are available. When using service all advantages of the loyalty program of Tape remain, promotional offers and rewards programs work. It is possible to pay the order when receiving at specially selected checkout. The staff of shops who underwent special training is engaged in assembly of goods.
The residents more than 70 cities preferring delivery can issue the order in the Ribbon application and receive it within an hour. The minimum order cost varies from 500 to 1000 rubles and depends on degree of load of service. The range available in the application includes about 20 thousand the most demanded positions, including products of own trademarks of network and goods of local producers. Assembly is performed in Lenta shops.
The company started service of express delivery in December, 2019. In June of this year the e-commerce direction was expanded due to implementation of service of the order and shipment at own expense. Until the end of the year own online services will earn after all 88 cities of presence of the company.

Start of service in 22 cities
On October 7, 2020 Tape, one of retail networks of Russia, announced expansion of geography of presence of service of express delivery Ribbon to 25 cities, in 22 of which service was started in September, 2020. The monthly audience of service for October, 2020 totals more than 100 thousand active users.
The range available in the application, for several months grew from 5 thousand to 30 thousand positions, these are the goods usual to buyers of Lenty shops, including products of own trademarks of network and local producers. Most often clients of service order goods which are popular in offline: vegetables, fruit, milk, bread and meat. In the south of the country buy online vegetables and fruit less often, residents of Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod are more often than others prefer to order in Ribbon cat food and dogs, residents of Saratov – only for cats. Service became popular with health workers which make out delivery both for themselves, and for the patients.
In comments on orders residents of St. Petersburg show good level of proficiency in the Russian literary language, is laconic and in the matter of Muscovites, in expressive way – inhabitants of the southern regions more often write.
When scaling service the company was focused on its improvement, having simplified the mechanism of replacement of goods, registration and payment of the order and the choice of delivery time of goods by the buyer. Besides, a number of promotional and marketing offers was expanded.

Start of service in Rostov-on-Don
On September 10, 2020 Tape announced expansion of geography of presence of service of express delivery Ribbon and its start in Rostov-on-Don.
Now residents of Rostov-on-Don can receive within an hour any goods from shops the Tape, having issued the order in the Ribbon application. The minimum order cost varies from 500 to 1000 rubles and depends on degree of load of service.
The range available in the application makes about 20 thousand the most demanded positions, including products of own trademarks of network and goods of local producers. Assembly is performed in Lenta shops. Special attention is paid to contactless delivery modes therefore the order can be paid only online.
The company improved the mechanism of replacement of goods, accelerated process of a refund and also improved an application interface. Now here the section "Separately appeared the tape recommends", containing the most popular actions and goods of own trademark. For the most convenient navigation in the application the search algorithm and sortings was optimized.

Start of service in St. Petersburg
On June 30, 2020 Tape, one of retail networks of Russia, announced expansion of geography of presence of service of express delivery Ribbon and started the project in St. Petersburg.
The service of express delivery earned in Nevsky district of St. Petersburg. At an initial stage buyers will be able to issue the order in the Ribbon application from 9 to 21 o'clock, the average time of delivery – 30 minutes, the service is provided free of charge. The minimum amount of the order depends on load of service.
Assembly of orders is performed in the shops located at the address Bolshevikov Ave., 7 and Zanevsky Avenue, 71. The range available in the application includes five thousand the most demanded goods items, including products under own trademarks of network and goods of local production.
The company is going to expand a coverage of service in St. Petersburg in the coming months.

Entry in the Moscow region
On June 16, 2020 Tape, one of retail networks of Russia, announced expansion of service of express delivery Ribbon.
The company expanded a coverage of the Ribbon application to ten districts of Moscow region. Express delivery from Lenta shops became available to residents of Balashikha, Vidnoye, Dolgoprudny, Railway, Korolyova, Lyubertsy, Mitino, Mytishchi, Odintsovo and Reutov. They will be able to use service free of charge, the average time of delivery of the order – 30 minutes.
Collecting and delivery of orders are performed from Lenta supermarkets, the range available in the application was increased up to 5,000 positions and includes the most demanded goods both with long, and with short storage lives. Having studied demand, the company expanded the range of fruit, vegetables, the dairy products, meat, bird of pastries, products for children available to the online order.
The director of strategy and innovations of Tape Dmitry Skiba commented:

In June in service there was an opportunity to pay the order online and to receive without contact: couriers leave it at a door. Earlier Tape expanded a coverage of the Ribbon application to 11 areas in Moscow and started the project in Cherepovets. In the nearest future service will begin to work also in other districts of the capital and will come out to St. Petersburg.
2019: Start of service
On December 4, 2019 the Russian network of Lenta hypermarkets announced start of free service of the express product delivery. The new project received the name "Ribbon".
By the time of the beginning of work of service it is available in Moscow only in three areas — Kuntsevo, Tver and Presnensky. For this purpose the retailer opened small shops of 100-150 square meters which work only for accomplishment of Internet orders.
In the Ribbon application about 1500 names of goods — fresh pastries, milk, cheese, meat, fish, ready lunches, etc. are available. "Tape" made the range, being guided by own experience and experience of the Moscow delivery service of the products "Duck-bill" (retailers have the general shareholder — Severgroup). The Ribbon application can be installed on devices running operating systems iOS and Android.[1]
Within express delivery Tape promises to bring products in 15-30 minutes from 7 in the morning to 11 in the evening. Service will be tested before the second quarter 2020 then the company will solve about expansion of the project. Investment volume into it does not reveal.
According to RBC, services of express delivery are also competitors of Tape, including at Pyaterochka and Intersection (X5 Retail Group belong), Ozon and Vkusvilla. However the time frame 15–30 minutes is provided only by specialized services and the Internet companies — Scooter and " Yandex.bench ", notes the edition.
A pioneer in the market of express delivery is Scooter which one of the first beginnings to apply the dark store model — warehouses are in each area of presence. Such system allows to deliver orders quickly. On the website the company tells that orders collect in two minutes.
As of the end of September, 2019 Tape had 375 shops in Russia among which — 246 hypermarkets and 129 supermarkets.[2]
