2025: Integration with Smart Gateway
Rosatom Infrastructure Solutions JSC (RIR, part of Rosatom State Corporation) has integrated its own digital products - the Smart Gateway eco-monitoring station and the Infrastructure IoT Platform software. RIR announced this on May 29, 2025.
Solutions are used for intelligent management of buildings, housing and communal services facilities, as well as in other sectors. This integration allows you to quickly connect any sensors and devices, providing their translation into a single top-level language and providing users with data in a convenient format. Now the station supports all standard data protocols, which turns the Smart Gateway device into a universal tool for efficient data management and process automation, reducing implementation times by up to several hours.
According to RIR analytics prepared in early 2025, over the past five years, the range of tasks solved using IoT technologies has significantly expanded. In addition to the usual directions, qualitatively new ones are actively formed, among which an automated collection of information on the state of the environment based on distributed networks occupies a special place. This trend is due to the global desire for sustainable development. The fastest growth (12% annually) is demonstrated by the IoT software segment, which includes platforms, industrial gateways, drivers and related solutions. While maintaining growth rates and taking into account economic forecasts by 2030, the IoT software market may reach 80 billion rubles. Following these trends, the RIR team integrated key digital products.
The configuration of the smart gateway allows you to form a flexible set of execution devices for specific tasks, which opens up opportunities for the development of projects in the fields of the Internet of Things, smart city, smart home and enterprise, as well as industrial and environmental safety. The smart gateway becomes the central control and control node in the IoT system: the hardware of the device with a pre-installed platform provides communication between sensors and the software environment, reception, archiving, analysis and transfer of data to external information systems, formation of recommendations for operators and device management. All information is provided to users through the web interface in the form of tables, interactive maps and graphs. Until recently, the market was dominated by foreign analogues of IoT controllers.
The integration capabilities of the Smart Gateway automatically connect any device or sensor, regardless of the protocol used. The functionality is supplemented by 80 connectors created and supported by the Infrastructure IoT Platform team.
The Smart Gateway hardware is a high-performance, versatile controller that allows data to be received, processed, archived, and transferred to external cloud systems. A large range of supported protocols (Ethernet with PoE, 2G/LTE, Bluetooth, LoRa, ZigBee, etc.) provides compatibility with a variety of devices. The infrastructure IoT platform collects data, visualizes it and performs analytics, as well as makes it possible to quickly configure the system for the specific needs of the object.
One of the most promising areas of application of the smart gateway is environmental monitoring and industrial safety systems, however, the device supports the connection of any type of sensors and guarantees the transfer of data to the upper level of the system.
| The infrastructure IoT platform now works in close integration with Rosatom equipment. This combination of hardware and software ensures fast and reliable system operation. For example, by installing a complex in a room with CO₂ level control, you can collect data about air quality, automatically start ventilation or air conditioning if necessary - all processes are implemented automatically thanks to integration with the gateway and platform, - explained the head of the department Alexander Mugla (RIR). |
The equipment passed all the necessary procedures and was included Unified Register of Russian Radio Electronic Products Ministry of Industry and Trade in Russia under the name "Smart Gateway M1." The development is characterized by a high degree of localization: 70% of the element base of the device are domestic components, while most analogues on the market use imported components. The production and development of the smart gateway is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.
The Infrastructure IoT Platform software package is also included in the register of Russian software and meets the requirements of the FSTEC of Russia. The implementation of solutions has been confirmed in more than 10 implemented projects: customers note a reduction in operational and energy costs by 9-16%, a decrease in the likelihood of emergencies, as well as automated collection and transmission of readings.
2024: Confirmation of compliance with the requirements of the FSTEC of Russia for CII facilities
The infrastructure IoT platform, developed by Rusat Infrastructure Solutions JSC (RIR, part of Rosatom State Corporation), has been tested for compliance with the requirements of the Russian FSTEC for critical information infrastructure facilities. The software is designed for automation and dispatching of building engineering systems, and the implemented projects confirm a reduction in operational and energy costs from 9 to 16%. The technical conclusion issued based on the results of the tests will allow the system to be used at critical infrastructure facilities, including the processing and storage of important information. This was reported to the RIR on January 18, 2024.
The experts of the testing laboratory checked and confirmed the compliance of the software product with the requirements for the security of information and technical conditions of paragraph 29.3 of Order of the FSTEC of Russia No. 239. As a result of the audit, a positive conclusion was issued on the compliance of the Infrastructure IoT Platform software product with the FSTEC requirements, confirming the absence of vulnerabilities, a high level of security and development quality. The technical opinion issued by the expert commission certifies that the platform meets all security requirements and can be used at critical information infrastructure facilities.
The RIR recalled that the Infrastructure IoT Platform software complex is included in the unified Russian register of programs for electronic computers and databases. About 10 pilot projects have been implemented. The platform has a built-in integration system with digital building twins (BIM). It implements the functionality of emergency prevention. Of particular interest is the SCADA functionality for dispatching and managing engineering equipment in buildings, for creating a situation center and a control center for engineering systems of the enterprise. The solution allows you to reduce operating costs, optimize the operation of engineering systems and increase the efficiency of the service personnel.

Add Digital Environmental Monitoring Module
JSC RuSat Infrastructure Solutions"" (RIR, part of the State Corporation Rosatom"") has developed a digital ecological monitoring module. It allows you to automate the collection and analysis of different information emissions and, if necessary, transfer to regulatory authorities. - IT The solution is intended for enterprises that conduct environmental monitoring on an ongoing basis, as well as regularly report on greenhouse emissions. gases RIR announced this on August 7, 2023.
The development team has launched a digital prototype for calculating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions based on its own infrastructure IoT platform - software for an automated operational dispatch control system. We have developed the functionality of environmental monitoring of maximum permissible concentrations of harmful substances in the air and the functionality of automated accounting of greenhouse gas emissions at enterprises.
The software collects up-to-date data from gas analyzers in real time and displays values to the dispatcher's automated workplace (telemetry, graph, trends). In addition, the dispatcher, at the click of a button, can receive a report on greenhouse gas emissions generated in the required format in automatic mode. This IT solution is in demand both at facilities where monitoring of emissions of harmful substances is necessary, and for enterprises reporting to the state on greenhouse gas emissions.
The implementation of the environmental monitoring module allows companies and enterprises to check production processes for compliance with environmental standards, plan the use of more effective methods for reducing emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere. Verified data will become an important element in the basis of the system for managing greenhouse gas emissions in the region, the implementation of future climate projects, scientific research on the climate agenda.
| RIR pays close attention to environmental and conservation issues for future generations. The company has accumulated vast experience in managing thermal power plants, has competencies in the implementation of environmental projects, including the use of digital technologies, - said Olga Golovikhina, Director for Sustainable Development of RuSat Infrastructure Solutions JSC. |
To implement environmental monitoring, it is necessary to have gas analyzers installed at the facility connected to the Infrastructure IoT Platform software with an additional environmental monitoring module.
