2022: Development of synchronous motor for elevators
September 22, 2022 it became known about the creation in Russia of a synchronous electric engine for elevators. We are talking about the development of the holding "Roselectronics," which is part of the state corporation "Rostec." The press service of the latter noted that the novelty is a slow-moving motor with permanent magnets, the use of which will save electricity, as well as provide high quality elevator work and comfort for passengers.
This electric motor is designed to be installed in a driverless elevator winch. It was developed as part of a project to create an intelligent engine control system for the main elevator drive, which includes the electric motor itself and the control unit. The system provides driving of the elevator car along the shaft for typical elevators with a carrying capacity of up to 1000 kg at a speed of up to 2 m/s. Thanks to the used circuitry solutions, the equipment allows you to get rid of unnecessary friction losses and increase energy efficiency.
The product was developed by the Kaluga Electromechanical Plant (KEMZ, part of the Avtomatika Concern of the Roselectronics holding). The main customer of the enterprise is the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant.[1]
As noted in the FEMZ, synchronous motors of general industrial purpose exceed asynchronous motors in power, control capabilities, size and energy efficiency. Efficiency of electric drive based on synchronous DSM machines is higher than efficiency of asynchronous electric drive, and frequency control range is wider. In terms of size, the DSM motor is half the size of an asynchronous motor of the same power.
Synchronous motors for elevators have expanded the line of engines mass-produced at the enterprise. Our products are used in automotive and machine tools, in the creation of pumps, compressors, automatic doors, as well as in the oil and gas sector, where they are used to control pipeline dampers. The main quality of the KEMZ engines is that they have a large power and efficiency factor, have a wider range of speed control and better weight and size indicators, and are also reliable in operation, "said Boris Movtyan, General Director of KEMZ JSC. |
