2023:62% increase in production
The Kaluga Electromechanical Plant of the Roselectronics Holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) in 2023 increased the production of synchronous engines by 62% compared to 2022. The devices are a completely Russian development, have a high power factor and energy efficiency parameters. They are used in machine tools, automotive, as well as gas and oil production, transport, elevator and unmanned industries.
At the end of 2023, the production of synchronous engines amounted to more than 18 thousand units. In 2022, this figure amounted to more than 11 thousand units, and in 2021 - more than 7 thousand devices.
Engines manufactured by the Kaluga Electromechanical Plant (KEMZ JSC) have a high efficiency and better weight and size compared to asynchronous motors.
KEMZ, like many Russian enterprises, is increasing production volumes at an accelerated pace. This contributes to solving the problems of import substitution and stable development of all sectors of the country's economy. In 2023, we produced products by more than 6 billion rubles, which is 20% more than in 2022. This was achieved, among other things, by expanding the production of synchronous engines. In 2024, in addition to further increasing the production of these products, we plan to release the first large series of the latest software and hardware systems Pelena and Palantir, - said Evgeny Zolotnitsky, General Director of KEMZ JSC. |
The Pelena software and hardware complex allows you to create an automatic intelligent system for managing equipment and engineering systems of infrastructure facilities. The Palantir complex is designed to monitor and predict the environmental situation at urban and industrial facilities. It significantly reduces the response time to extreme environmental events and strengthens control over potential sources of pollution emissions into the atmosphere.

Production of 11 thousand synchronous motors per year
Holding "Roselectronics" State Corporation Rostec in 2022 increased the production of synchronous engines by 50% compared to 2021. Products in various modifications are used in the gas and oil industry, machine tool building, automotive industry, housing and communal services, as well as in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. The Holding announced this on December 23, 2022.
At the end of 2022, the production of synchronous engines at the Kaluga Electromechanical Plant of the Avtomatika Concern (part of Roselectronics) will be more than 11 thousand units. In 2021, the company produced 7600 such products, and in 2020 - 5700 pieces.
KEMZ engines have high power and efficiency factors, as well as high energy efficiency and reliability of operation. In addition, they have an increased overload capacity that allows you to keep a constant speed of rotation regardless of the mechanical load on the shaft, have a large range of speed control and better weight and size compared to asynchronous motors.
Synchronous KEMZ motors are a completely domestic development. The annual growth in the production of these products is due to the development of new markets and the expansion of the product line. In particular, in 2022, we first introduced an engine for drones. Taking into account the situation in 2022, this is an extremely popular direction of production. In 2023, we plan to further increase volumes throughout the line - according to some modifications, growth will be almost 100%, "said Boris Movtyan, General Director of the enterprise. |
Commissioning of a workshop for the production of control and special communications machines for power structures
Holding "Automation" of the State Corporation Rostec put into operation a workshop for the production of control and special communications machines for power structures. Rostec announced this on May 13, 2022. The complexes are created on the basis of high-speed vehicles, equipped with digital data transmission systems, satellite communications and special equipment.
This production site is located on the territory of the Kaluga Electromechanical Plant (KEMZ).
Rostec pays great attention to the modernization and creation of new industries. The building with an area of 1.8 thousand square meters. m is equipped with the latest equipment necessary for the release of communication and control equipment for special customers. This will increase production volumes to one hundred cars per year. Investments in the project amounted to about 91 million rubles. The project was implemented within the framework of the Federal Target Program for Modernization and Technical Re-Equipment of Defense Industry Enterprises, - said Sergey Sakhnenko, General Director of the United Instrument-Making Corporation (operates under the Roselectronics brand). |
The main activities of the CMP are the creation of information and telecommunication systems and special-purpose communication systems, the production of means of communication with cryptographic protection of information, automated control systems.
Our country is in a rather difficult situation, but this complexity gives us great opportunities for accelerated development. At the legislative level, we are implementing projects that are aimed at increasing funding, providing such preferences as subsidies and concessional lending. This will help us cope with new challenges, "said Vladimir Gutenev, First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade. |
2020
Management of Kalugapribor shares
In December 2020, the shares of Kalugapribor JSC were transferred to the trust management of KEMZ JSC. Both enterprises are part of the Avtomatika Concern of Rostec State Corporation. Having become a single production complex, enterprises are aimed at significantly increasing collaboration. This was announced on January 15, 2021 by the Automatics Concern. Read more here.
Plans to create a technology park KEMZ.Tech
JSC Kaluga Electromechanical Plant (JSC KEMZ), part of the Avtomatika Concern of Rostec State Corporation, is planning a project to create a modern industrial technopark KEMZ.TECH. The project is aimed at consolidating the scientific potential of the Kaluga Region and a modern technically equipped infrastructure for the production of high-tech industrial products and conducting scientific and technical activities. This was announced on February 12, 2020 by the Avtomatika concern.
KEMZ.TECH is a comprehensive project that provides developers and scientists of the Kaluga region and other nearby regions with office and technical premises for using a wide range of modern specialized equipment that allows performing services from project development to organizing serial production and launching high-tech solutions on the market.
To implement the KEMZ.TECH project, it is planned to reconstruct one of the production buildings of KEMZ JSC, which were not involved in the production process due to physical wear. On the basis of the technopark, it is planned to create an exhibition hall, a training center, a design center, a photo and video studio, a printing center, radio laboratories, a storage area, a prototyping center, a technical area, a shopping and restaurant area and a parking lot.
The ideology of the project is based on the complex interaction of production representatives and developers in order to minimize the time for obtaining mass-produced high-tech products.
The creation of the KEMZ.TECH production technopark will allow small and medium-sized companies of the radio electronic devices and solutions market, as well as startups that do not have specialized equipment for the comprehensive development of radio electronic devices and solutions, to carry out mass production of high-tech products with minimal production costs. The project will solve the problems of the national project "Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives," as well as cooperate with the Avtomatika Concern through the base site of the technopark - KEMZ JSC, comments on the general director of the Concern "Automatics " Vladimir Kabanov
