Start using industrial robots on conveyors
The Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant (SHLS, part of the Дом.РФ group) has begun introducing industrial robots on automated conveyor lines of its own design. This was announced by the head of the priority projects of the scientific and technical center of the SCHLS Mikhail Olenev on February 3, 2026.
According to Olenev, tests of a collaborative robot (cobot) capable of safely working next to a person began in the plant's innovative cluster on the conveyor line. The task of the cobot is to recognize the marking on the container using a machine vision system and distribute loads to specified places on the conveyor. The new technology is designed to automate logistics and assembly operations.
The press service of the plant reports that the introduction of robotic solutions is part of a large-scale modernization of the SHCH, for which 2.7 billion rubles were allocated from 2023 to 2025. As part of this program, more than half of the machine fleet was updated, 4 automated lines were launched and the production capacity was increased to 15 thousand elevators per year. A new line for the production of conveyor systems has been developing since 2024 as a logical continuation of the production of automated warehouse lifts.
Earlier, in September 2025, the Construction Business news agency reported on the presentation by the plant of an industrial-style conveyor line combining roller and chain conveyors, sensors, sorting and packaging modules, as well as manipulator robots from a partner, Valdai Robots.
The strategy of the plant, as noted by the director of project management Oleg Obliznikov, is to engineer complete vertical solutions. Partnership agreements concluded at the end of 2024 with Wildberries and Russ provide for the import substitution of warehouse equipment and the introduction of these technological solutions.[1]
Expenses of 2.5 billion rubles for the replacement of 50% of production equipment
Over the past two years, more than 2.5 billion rubles have been invested in the modernization of the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant to replace 50% of production equipment. This was announced in February 2026 by the general director of DOM.RFVitaliy Mutko. According to him, a young team of researchers and a scientific center made the elevator more localized - on domestic equipment and a software product. The plant occupies about 20% of the market in the housing sector, received a license for the manufacture of elevators at a speed of 8 meters per second.[2]
2025: Expenses of ₽1,5 billion for new equipment, which will allow the production of 15 thousand elevators per year
The Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant increased the production capacity of the enterprise to 15 thousand elevators per year as part of a large-scale modernization of production with an investment of more than ₽1,5 billion for the period from 2024 to the end of 2025. This became known on December 26, 2025.
According to TASS, the company also expanded the range of elevator and lifting equipment and launched its own installation and service functions. The plans for 2026-2027 include at least ₽2 billion more investments in further modernization. The continuation of the investment program is aimed at maintaining the competitiveness of the plant.
According to data, from Rosstat January to November 2025 Russia , about 23.4 thousand elevators were produced in. More than a quarter of this volume falls on the share of the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant. During this period, the company produced almost 7 thousand elevators.
The industrial production index was 100.8%. The production of elevators compared to the same period in 2024 amounted to 93.7%. The decrease in production volumes of the industry is due to external economic factors.
The plant's products were supplied to all regions of the Russian Federation. The following regions became the leaders in terms of supply volume:
Sergey Firstov, financial director of the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant, said that this year has become difficult for the industry due to the high key rate and the increase in the cost of financing. According to him, this influenced the pace of housing construction and renewal of elevator equipment.
Sergei Firstov noted that despite this, the plant continued to implement the investment program and expand the product line. He expressed expectations that in 2026 the market will begin to recover, and the growth rate will increase. The company is expected to grow at the level of 10-12%.[3]
2024
Revenue growth by 28% to ₽18,6 billion
The Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant (SHLS), part of the ДОМ.РФ group, increased revenue by 28% to ₽18,6 billion in 2024. The company's net profit for the reporting period amounted to ₽1,6 billion, the company said on April 24, 2025.
According to TASS, the company demonstrates a steady growth in financial and production indicators for the second year in a row. The main reason for the increase in production volumes was an increase in the number of orders in the segment of elevator equipment replacements as part of the overhaul of apartment buildings by 26%. At the same time, in the commercial segment, there was a decrease in volumes associated with a slowdown in the activity of developers in 2024.
Sergey Firstov, Financial Director of Shchls JSC, explained that profit formation was influenced by an increase in business volumes, an increase in sales margins, an increase in the share of contracts with specialized non-profit organizations, as well as cost control and optimization of business processes. He also added that the company plans to further increase production rates thanks to the latest automated lines, which will increase the production capacity of the plant to 15 thousand elevators per year.
Sales of Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant products in 2024 increased by 11% compared to 2023, reaching almost 7.2 thousand elevators. This indicator exceeds the general industry indicator of domestic industry.
In 2024, projects on new types of activities became promising areas of the company's development: the development of specialized lifting equipment for the needs of the construction complex, logistics hubs and green power facilities.
The company actively increases the use of components of domestic production and develops its own technical solutions. Currently, the share of imported components in serial production of SHLS does not exceed 5-10%. In 2025, the company plans to launch the production of non-reducer winches, which will further increase the level of localization.[4]
Lift production growth by 9% to 7.2 thousand units
The production volume of the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant (SHLS), which is part of the ДОМ.РФ group, in 2024 amounted to 7.2 thousand elevators, which is 9% more than in 2023. Such data were published by Rosstat in February 2025. At the same time, the total production of elevator equipment in Russia decreased by 5.3%, amounting to 25.9 thousand units.
According to "Komsomolskaya Pravda," General Director of SCHLS Valentin Chernobaev noted that the company has significantly increased the volume of orders for regional capital repair funds and entered new segments of housing construction. The plant is also developing innovative vertical transport lines, including mast lifts and transportation systems for warehouse terminals.
In Russia,According to the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Russia, 545 thousand elevators are operated in the country, of which 78.4 thousand require replacement. These indicators demonstrate significant growth potential for elevator equipment manufacturers.
In 2024, SHLS signed an offset contract with the Moscow government for the production of 22.7 thousand elevators. This agreement will allow the company to accelerate the modernization of production facilities and increase production.
The company is implementing a large-scale technical re-equipment program. 20 new machines were installed in production workshops and two modern paint chambers were launched. In 2025, it is planned to update 50% of the machine fleet and complete the installation of four automated production lines.
The implementation of the modernization program will increase the production capacity of the enterprise to 15 thousand elevators per year. This is especially important in the face of growing demand for elevator equipment from the construction industry and housing overhaul programs.
The share of the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant in the Russian market is almost a third of the total production. The company is the largest manufacturer of elevator equipment in Russia, which is confirmed by Rosstat data for 2024.[5]
2023: Profit - 1 billion rubles
In 2023, the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant (SHLS, part of the Дом.РФ group) received a net profit of 1 billion rubles. According to Vitaly Mutko, general director of Дом.РФ, the company first got rid of losses after bankruptcy.
| Three years ago, we took ownership of the bankrupt Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant, which was simply at zero. Last year he made his first profit, "Mutko said in the State Duma on May 15, 2024. |
Judging by the data posted in the Kontur.Focus service, the net loss of SHLS in 2022 was measured at 1.38 billion rubles, and a year earlier - the loss amounted to 209.4 million rubles.
Earlier, Vitaly Mutko said that Дом.РФ was ready to create a holding that would cover 40% of Russia's needs for new elevators on the basis of its Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant, as well as the Karacharov Mechanical Plant and Omsk Siblift[6]
2018-2021
In mid-2018, Дом.РФ transferred to the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant (SHLS) as a result of the bankruptcy of SU No. 155 JSC.
In 2021, "Дом.РФ" allocated funds for the modernization of the SHCH. As a result, according to the general director of the state corporation Vital Mutka, the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant has launched its own elevator with a cabin in a new modern design and an elevator, the design of which uses a reducerless winch that allows you to reach speeds up to 2.5 meters per second and designed in cooperation with Asian manufacturers.
In 2020, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) began checking the Дом.РФ state corporation after a complaint from associations of domestic elevator workers to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Representatives of the industry are concerned about the plans of the ДОМ.РФ to build a new powerful elevator plant, despite the fact that, according to them, in parallel, the state corporation initiates the bankruptcy of two already operating large enterprises and bought out their debts without notifying the FAS.
