SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is a cloud service of SAP company for creation of corporate "cloud" on the SAP HANA platform.

Description

For implementing solution of SAP on the SAP HANA platform the customer will receive all necessary infrastructure in the subscription mode, for any necessary time and for any tasks: from deployment of test and project configurations before complete transfer of IT infrastructure for SAP solutions in virtual environment. The configuration of a hardware and software system required to the customer is provided on the basis of data center of SAP company together with technical support services.

2020

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud will become available as the managed service by means of HPE GreenLake

On August 6, 2020 the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) company announced plans to sign the partnership agreement with SAP to provide SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud by means of HPE GreenLake as completely managed service in the environment at the choice of the customer – on network edge, in own DPC or within a collocation. It will allow customers to save a SAP landscape and data in local infrastructure.

Upgraded version of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud meets a key market demand of customers of SAP. Thanks to HPE GreenLake, SAP will be able to ensure for customers the stable and automated functioning in a cloud by means of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud on a subscription within flexible model "as service". Cloud services and tools of the analysis of compliance to regulations of HPE GreenLake will allow SAP to provide specialized services in operation and management of applications in local infrastructure, in the environment at the choice of the customer.

This partnership will become continuation of the old long-term relations of HPE and SAP. Besides, SAP selected HPE as the partner because of global presence of the company.

Upgraded version of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud will have the optimized architecture based on high-performance infrastructure. It will include the computing and network technologies and technologies of storage certified and previously configured for a SAP software.

Thanks to cloud services of HPE GreenLake SAP will be able to provide the solution in full. To conform to essential requirements of customers of SAP for workloads, HPE GreenLake underwent testing on control indicators of SAP. Delivery, installation and infrastructure management will be exercised of HPE. SAP will supplement the solution and, using the examination, to execute operation of a complex private cloud from the operating system of the SAP HANA database and to the directory of SAP applications HANA Enterprise Cloud, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW/4HANA. SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud will be delivered SAP as an implementable "turnkey" cloud solution on a subscription within model "as service".

Service became available in local infrastructure of clients

At the beginning of August, 2020 the cloud platform of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud became for the first time available in local infrastructure of clients. 2019: SAP will transfer the SAP solution S/4HANA Cloud to the Russian DPC

SAP CIS announced in April, 2019 transfer of the SAP solution S/4HANA Cloud in the Russian DPC, it will be available since May, 2019. The cloud platform of SAP S/4HANA will help the Russian clients much quicker and with smaller costs to pass from traditional ERP to the intellectual enterprise, data-driven.

Cloud computing remains one of principal directions of business development of SAP. The company as provider of a full stroke of cloud computing and services, aims to transfer a maximum of key solutions to the Russian data center. SAP – the only vendor in Russia with own DPC, since 2014 places SuccessFactors, Ariba, SAP IBP, a product portfolio of SAP Customers Experience, the platform for development of SAP Cloud Platform here.

In May, 2019 the flagman SAP solution S/4HANA Cloud which will be unrolled in cloud infrastructure of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) certified for class 1G for the IC and to the second level of personal data protection will be transferred to DPC.

2018: Certification of FSTEC

2017: Integration into Microsoft Azure

Corporation Microsoft and SAP SE on November 28, 2017 announced creation of the integrated offer thanks to which corporate customers will be able to create the precise strategic plan for development of business innovations of century cloud. Within cooperation of Microsoft and SAP intend to develop and bring jointly to the market solutions and also to provide to clients the joint service support. Partners are also going to implement solutions of each other in the organizations.

So, SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (the private managed cloud service of SAP) will be integrated into Microsoft Azure and will allow customers to start SAP S/4HANA in the safe managed cloud. Besides, Microsoft will implement SAP S/4HANA on Azure for support of own internal financial processes. SAP, in turn, will transfer internal key business systems to Azure.

As of November 28, the SAP solution Ariba already uses the Microsoft Azure platform, besides, also other possibilities for scaling are considered. In general joint efforts of the companies are directed to creation of the convenient environment for management of cloud applicaions of SAP, said in a joint statement of partners.

Microsoft, in particular, transforms the internal systems, including already used finance applications, and will implement SAP S/4HANA Central Finance on Azure. Microsoft is also going to connect SAP S/4HANA to Azure AI and analytical services for maintaining financial statements and acceleration of decision making.

SAP, in return, transfers more than ten crucial business systems to Azure for the most complete use of those innovation opportunities which are offered by the platform. Including, the Concur service integrated with SAP S/4HANA.

Both companies will document internal projects on migration in the future to share with customers the examination on deployment and use of SAP applications in Azure.

In turn, customers with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud on Azure will get access to all opportunities of both systems: to management of applications and product examination from SAP, to a global intellectual cloud of Azure and cloud services of Microsoft.

Strategic cloud of IBM for SAP applications

On October 16, 2014 the IBM corporation and SAP SE company announced: IBM is elected as the key strategic supplier of SAP SE of cloud services for crucial business applications.

The SAP solution HANA Enterprise Cloud is available on the basis of a cloud platform of IBM. By means of cloud the SAP solution HANA Enterprise Cloud will be available to data processing centers of IBM in all main markets that will allow clients more quickly and to safely develop the software of SAP worldwide.

• Customers can use SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud thanks to global presence of IBM Cloud worldwide. It will allow clients to process data by means of SAP HANA and to unroll business applications in IBM Cloud due to quick access, transparency and the high level of control.

• SAP HANA on the IBM Cloud platform will provide approach on the basis of open standards which will become a basis for easier integration of already used technological solutions.

• IBM also SAP confirm the commitment to security in a cloud. The principles of transparency and reliability of management in IBM Cloud will provide to the enterprises a possibility of implementation of front lines the practician on security in a cloud environment.

• By means of cloud solutions the companies will have additional opportunities of development and scaling not only in the local market, but also on a global scale, observing at the same time requirements in data storage areas and other regulating documents and methodical recommendations.

Updating of SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud

On June 9, 2014 SAP announced readiness of the updated SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud.

New "turnkey" solutions, standardized and joint in packet, for service SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud will help clients to pass quicker to SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud and to use reliably protected environment for business conversion.

As a part of updating a complex solution package for fast deployment, automation of process of implementation and simplification of transfer of a client system to a cloud environment. To a set from five simple and convenient solutions three more "turnkey" solutions — for retail, insurance companies and the organization of cooperation are added to networks of suppliers and also integration with Ariba network. Clients will get such advantages as acceleration and simplification of transactions among managed a private cloud.
