2019: Announcement of SAP Leonardo IoT and integration into Microsoft Azure IoT Hub

On February 28, 2019 SAP SE provided SAP Leonardo Internet of Things technology for digital transformation in the field of industrial Internet of Things and the industry 4.0. A system will be an integirovana with Microsoft Azure IoT Hub for additional connectivities and control of different devices.

2018

SAP Leonardo Machine Learning Foundation

The SAP company presented on June 7, 2018 the updated SAP solution Leonardo Machine Learning Foundation which simplifies integration of artificial intelligence into business processes of the company.

The product was replenished with 5 services among which: detection of objects, text recognition on images, the analysis and automatic classification of text documents.

Also the solution supports library of the software scikit-learn, in addition to TensorFlow.

Besides, in SAP announced that possibilities of machine learning of SAP Leonardo Machine Learning are built-in in a row applications of a portfolio of SAP, including SAP S/4 HANA Cloud, SAP C/4 of HANA and SAP Ariba now.

SAP Leonardo Blockchain Early Access

The SAP Leonardo Blockchain Early Access program which provides access to the standard SAP products expanded and complemented with functionality a blockchain is available to clients and partners of SAP. Participants of the program can learn about how SAP Leonardo Blockchain allows to work safely with data without the need for the centralized control and management. Registration in the program of early access is open for clients and partners of SAP prior to the beginning of the first quarter 2018.

In September SAP SE provided the first participants of the program of joint innovations within a blockchain initiative and also plans for integration of the systems of digital registers in Internet of Things both solutions for production management and supply chains using SAP Cloud Platform Blockchain service. The companies Capgemini Deloitte, GrainCorp HCL Technologies HERE Technologies, NetApp will present to Moog Inc., Natura Cosméticos S.A., and PeerNova together with SAP scenarios and business models of application of blockchain technologies in SAP solutions for product lifecycle management and resources.

Samsung Artik got support of SAP Leonardo IoT Edge

In July, 2017 Samsung Electronics announced that two IoT-gateways of the Samsung Artik platform received certification of SAP for work for SAP Leonardo IoT Edge, supporting interaction between two solutions. It is expected that the combination of "peripheral" data processing by the modules Samsung Artik and SAP Leonardo will promote faster and flexible deployment of analytics in projects of Internet of Things in many industries.^[1] about it read here.

In the summer of 2017 SAP presented the solutions for the Internet of things which are included into the digital innovation SAP Leonardo system. Using SAP Cloud Platform they support functions on work with Big Data and analytics, an opportunity to connect people, objects and business and also such technologies as machine learning to give the chance to implement strategy for Internet of Things and the industry 4.0 in the field of digital logistics, production and asset management.

The SAP Leonardo IoT Bridge service is the command center working in real time. It helps to reduce, find correlation and a context in the data obtained from sensors for Internet of Things with business processes and also with the structured and unstructured data. The SAP solution Global Track and Trace allows to model the monitored business processes, to transfer data to partners in a supply network. This application is created on architecture of Big Data that allows to process data bulks with a high performance.

Services can be integrated with the existing product portfolio of SAP to create new scenarios, such as external logistics. SAP Leonardo IoT Bridge helps to exercise control of a set of processes and systems through the uniform command center as a result to obtain information on where there is a load and that in it, about a status and promotion of the vehicle on route. Service aggregates the following information:

• Tracking of data about statuses of delivery, a load, transportation and the number of vehicles through SAP Global Track and Trace
• Information on containers and pallets with a load from SAP Connected Goods service
• Data on location of transport from Vehicle Insights SAP application
• Information on orders from the ERP system of SAP S/4HANA

SAP cooperates with Bosch Group for creation of innovations in the field of digital logistics. Bosch and SAP work on scenarios for control in the online mode of cargo transfer and also on integration of cloud-to-cloud (intercloud integration) with a cloud service for Internet of Things of Bosch.

The SAP Leonardo IoT Edge service uses container infrastructure of SAP Cloud Platform IoT-services for seamless work with such services as SAP Digital Manufacturing.
