MT-700 OBD-Dongle - the tracker of style of driving of the car

On March 22, 2017 the SCOUT company announced creation of the MT-700 OBD-Dongle tracker. The device has functionality of control of style of driving.

The tracker enters a line of MT-700 devices and integrates in itself possibilities of this series on control of style of driving. Existence of the sensor of style of the driving and a buzzer notifying the driver on the wrong actions[1] will allow to use it within the solutions "Safe Driving" and "Economic Driving"[1].

Among features of MT-700 OBD-Dongle I will emphasize compactness and simplicity in installation. This tracker does not require professional installation, and the sensor of style of driving is calibrated automatically, without special setup procedures. Therefore each customer can independently connect it. Thereby it will be possible to cut down expenses on equipment of vehicle fleet a monitoring system. Also we considered that not all companies using hired transport decide to resort to satellite control of style of driving. They fairly are afraid of excessive costs for installation and dismantling of the equipment by machines which do not belong to them. Our development removes this problem, doing satellite monitoring is more available.

MT-700 OBD-Dongle can control style of driving for reduction of accidents and observance of parameters of economic operation. In the first case of MT-700 OBD-Dongle fixes unsafe maneuvers, sharp accelerations and braking, ignoring of the high-speed modes. In the second - the device defines, the accuracy handles the car. It is in addition possible to learn about the facts of management on critical engine speed, idle times idling, blows to the suspender, etc.

These data are available to users in a report type, in the software of a system SCOUT. Drivers can adjust style of driving, noting notifications of the buzzer installed in the tracker.

In addition to control of style of driving, MT-700 OBD-Dongle conducts basic monitoring, control of fuel and operation of mechanisms. If in the OBD connector of the vehicle data reading from the CAN bus is supported, then for control of fuel and mechanisms it will not be required to install additional sensors.

MT-700 OBD-Dongle supports universal standard j1939 protocol that gives the chance without contact to read out diagnostic and operational information from the majority of types of trucks and special equipment of different function.

2016

МТ-700 STD Atol Smart

MT-700 - a line of modules of monitoring of a system SCOUT with support GPS GLONASS, 3G.

On August 30, 2016 the group "Scout" announced development of the module for the systems of transport telematics - the tracker GLONASS/GPS, mounted in the tachograph "Atol Drive Smart".

Integration of devices will help owners of vehicle fleets to identify the driver according to the card of the tachograph in a system SCOUT, to automatically unload data from cards of drivers, to control a work-rest schedule of the driver, technical condition of the equipment[2].

The module of monitoring MT-700 of STD Atol Smart is created especially for integration with modification of the Atol Drive Smart tachograph. This equipment in the list of FBU "Rosavtotrans".

Our new modification of the tracker is inserted into a special compartment of the tachograph. The device is created by analogy with already known module MT-700 STD Atol which was developed for the digital tachograph "Atholl Drive 5". Thanks to such integration of the company in which parks Drive Smart tachographs with MT-700 of STD Atol Smart connected to it are installed can define how many on time and as the driver worked on each vehicle. It is reached due to identification of the driver according to the card of the tachograph in a system SCOUT and as a result allows to increase discipline of drivers, to stop the "left" runs and "drainings" of fuel.

Integration of two devices provides fulfillment of requirements of order No. 36 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. After installation of the module of monitoring authorized users can check far off operability of the tachograph, automatically unload ddd-files and control observance by drivers of work-rest schedules.

In cooperation with SCOUT Group we not the first time successfully make integration of our tachographs with transport monitoring systems. Due to joint experience and advanced technologies we offer clients the most effective tools for reduction in cost of administration of their parks. In this case the companies which already equipped the vehicles with digital tachographs "Atol Drive Smart" or only planning equipment have an opportunity to effectively control work of drivers in a system SCOUT. It helps to avoid possible penalties for non-compliance with work-rest schedules and also for non-execution of statutory requirements regarding unloading and archive storage of tachograph data from cards of drivers. 2014

MT-700 of Standard and Lite

MT-700 PRO 285 - the module of monitoring of a system SCOUT with support GPS GLONASS, 3G.

On April 10, 2014 the SCOUT group announced release on the market of new modules of monitoring of MT-700 series: modifications of Standard and Lite are already available. In June, 2014 there will be MT-700 PRO model 285 – the product which is completely corresponding to order No. 285 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

Features of the modules SCOUT MT-700

  • the branded body with a set of options of fastening on the vehicle.
  • high degree of protection of the body against influence of technogenic and climatic factors – IP54.
  • the special cover for sealing of connectors in junctions reducing risk of sabotage.
  • connectivity of a voice communication: the built-in amplifier, mini-jack connectors for the microphone and the loudspeaker, a full duplex.
  • the external connector for the SIM card canceling need to open the main body at its installation / extraction.
  • three LED indicators installed on the face of the body and allowing to estimate at any time visually system operation.
  • the built-in accelerometer and gyroscope for assessment of style of driving.

Modifications of MT-700

  • MT-700 Lite - contains basic feature set, the vehicles allowing to control movement at the minimum costs. Among them: monitoring and determination of coordinates, speeds, directions of the movement, duration and places of parking. This modification is the optimal choice for the companies rendering taxi and courier services and also for services of rapid response.

  • MT-700 Standard – is created for the companies for which, along with movement of transport, control of additional parameters is necessary. Fuel level sensors, operation of the mechanism, presence of the passenger, etc. can be connected to this modification. MT-700 STD terminals will help to reduce significantly costs for the maintenance of large vehicle fleets: save fuel, increase safety of cargo transportation and discipline of drivers.

  • MT-700 PRO 285 – modification is developed in full accordance with order No. 285 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. Among key features of modification: built-in 3G-modem, USB port, CAN bus controller, support of RS485 and RS232 standards. As of April 10, 2014 the product passes tests.


Main characteristics of modules of monitoring of MT-700

  • Broad range of supply voltage (9–36 V), built-in overvoltage protection and noises (long and short-term noises).

  • Use of GPRS technologies for contact with the system server.

Testing for accuracy

On June 10, 2014 SCOUT Group announced the participation in the selection made by RSA within creation of a system of insurance at the simplified road accident design. In anticipation of entering into the Law on the CMTPL of amendments about registration of accidents using a GLONASS/GPS technologies, the equipment SCOUT was subjected to compliance tests a number of criteria.

The initiative of the Russian Association of Motor Insurers [3] is connected with the preparing amendments to the Law on the CMTPL. According to them, it is going to raise considerably limits of payments in case of the small accidents which are not requiring involvement of traffic police.

As a design of road accident by the principle of "the European protocol" is possible only at a term of use of photo and video fixing, insurance companies are afraid of growth of fraudulent manipulations in this sphere. The purpose of RSA - to enshrine compulsory use of the devices fixing circumstances of road accident in the continuous and not adjusted mode in the law is explained by it.

At the end of 2013, together with preparation of a regulatory framework for fixing of insured events by means of satellite technologies, Russian Association of Motor Insurers started selection of the organizations delivering transport monitoring systems. SCOUT Group provided the self-produced modules equipped GLONASS/ GPS- receivers. At the end of spring of 2014, according to the results of carrying out bench tests, developments of group received high expert evaluation and official recognition PCA.

"Confirmation of the high level of our equipment and the software from experts of RSA says that our solutions will be even more demanded after entry into force of new edition of the Law on the CMTPL. We intend to participate in market grouping of insurance telematics in Russia, and future changes in the law open ample opportunities for implementation of our plans", - Yury Visnevsky, the commercial director of SCOUT Group emphasized.

Within the carried-out tests capability of the equipment was checked: in the automatic mode to record the fact of blow and to send on wireless communication links to the RSA database the itemized statement on incident containing "road accident profile" [1]. Accuracy of fixing of parameters of blow – by comparison with reference values was checked.

2012

MT-600 GP Lite

The SCOUT group, the Russian producer of the systems of satellite monitoring of transport, announced in February, 2012 expansion of a product line – the beginning of sales of new modification of modules of monitoring of transport SCOUT MT-600. The new modification which received the name MT-600 GP Lite is intended for the companies, it is important to them to control first of all routes of traffic and connection of additional sensors – to the taxi pools, courier services, services of rapid response, the enterprises providing transport for the employees is not required.

"A priority for many companies is the accuracy of observance of arrangements with clients today: timely and high-quality accomplishment of delivery conditions of a load, passengers, important correspondence, timely arrival. The problem of reducing costs of fuel is less important for such companies. Therefore in the new version of the module of monitoring of MT-600 of GP Lite emphasis is put on tracking of location and routes of movement of vehicles, control of parking and the high-speed mode. The most frequent use of new modification of the equipment the SCOUT is expected on passenger transport", - the commercial director of SCOUT Group Visnevsky Yury commented on Lite MT-600 exit.

Already began to ship the first batches of new modules of monitoring of SCOUT Group to the partners since February 24, 2012. Thus, at a product line SCOUT there are solutions for any type of tasks now:

  • the universal modules of monitoring MT-600 PRO allowing to connect a large number of additional sensors and devices of monitoring, including to read out information from Canshiny. There are modifications with GPS and GLONASS/ GPS receivers;
  • the basic modification of MT-600 of STD providing necessary feature set for key problems of monitoring of cargo transport and special equipment;
  • the version of MT-600 of Lite, optimal at cost, allowing the companies to receive the modern solution for control of transport at the minimum prices.

MT-600 (RD)

The last generation of devices differs from the previous modifications in several profitable advantages at once. First of all, it is the receiver combined by a GLONASS/GPS. After conducting careful comparative testing of 6 different receivers, specialists of SCOUT Group made a choice for benefit of the MStar MGGS2217 chip. It is caused by its more exact and reliable work, especially under difficult conditions of acceptance (the yards wells, the covered hangars and garages).

One more improvement of new MT-600 (RD) is an opportunity to use 2 SIM cards. It will allow the companies performing international transport to provide continuous online control of transport and it is essential to reduce costs for roaming. It is also possible to use 2 SIM cards of the Russian operators at once. Such solution will allow to expand a zone of stable communication in the territory of Russia that is important for many customers working in sparsely populated areas.

The new module of monitoring put on the market SCOUT has the increased protection against electric influences now. The updated circuit engineering allows the device to function uninterruptedly in the extreme conditions connected with faults on the vehicle network of the car. The tests which are carried out to SCOUT Group laboratories and on "problem" cars of some Customers showed that MT-600 continues to work, for example, after influence with inductive noises with an amplitude from-1100 to +600 V.

Guaranty period for the new equipment is increased up to 5 years.

Commercial director of SCOUT Group Yury Visnevsky: "Our company makes navigation equipment since 2005. In 2011 there was a cardinal updating of our line of devices. The new hardware-software platform, MT-600, several times expanded possibilities of the equipment in comparison with the previous modules of the MT-5khkh series. At the beginning of 2013 we also update a product portfolio, however we provide compatibility with the previous modifications of MT-600. In other words, more than one hundred to our certified partners will not be required retraining of personnel to configuring and setup of the equipment at increase in functionality in new MT-600 (RD).

This time, the main changes concerned circuit engineering which will provide to the equipment SCOUT the best indicators of reliability for the market, resistance to sabotage and extreme operating conditions. Our 8 years' experience of serial production of the monitoring equipment and long (more than 10 months) tests of new payments at the stand of severe influences allowed to offer Integrators SCOUT essential competitive advantage – 5 years of a guarantee. This term exceeds the average duration of operation of commercial transport. One more milestone event – failure from production of automobile GPS trackers. Now all equipment SCOUT will be completed only with the receiver combined by a GLONASS/GPS".

It should be noted that the new line of the modules Lite, STD and PRO saved all characteristics on connection of external sensors. It will, still, allow to select optimal feature set of monitoring and not to overpay for unclaimed functionality. For transport used in passenger traffic and transportations of dangerous loads it is recommended to use a GLONASS/GPS the MT-600 PRO terminals with a special complete set conforming to requirements of order No. 285 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation of July 31, 2012.
