Simply Linux 10.2 with kernel version 6.1
BaseALT has released a version of the Simply Linux 10.2 operating system on the 10th platform. This OS is different from others in the Alt family. It is free, designed for home use, and can also be used in small businesses. The company announced this on October 25, 2023.
Together with the operating system, users receive a set of programs not only for work, but also for recreation - watching games photos, videos, listening to music. Assembly for StarFive VisionFive V2 board
BaseALT announced on May 12, 2023 that it continues to develop support for the RISC-V platform in Alt operating systems. The developers have released a new experimental build (technological release) of the Simply Linux Risc-V operating system for the StarFive VisionFive V2 board. This is an initiative development of the vendor, ahead of the market needs.
Assemblies for HiFive Unmatched, HiFive Unleashed and QEMU boards are also available for download.
This build is intended for developers and experienced users interested in developing the free software ecosystem for the RISC-V architecture. All source code is open source and hosted in the Sisyphus riscv64 repository, which the ALT Linux Team community has been developing since 2018.
The image of the Simply Linux RISC-V operating system has been tested on QEMU, VisionFive V2 and SiFi boards. Two images with slinux-rv-20230422-riscv64.img.xz and slinux-rv-vf2-20230422-riscv64.img.xz cores are assembled for the StarFive VisionFive V2 board and other RISC-V-enabled boards. Simply Linux 10 compatibility with SETERE OC

Simply Linux is compatible with the main applications that these users usually use . According to the company, when Simply Linux was changed, the developers conducted a survey and took into account the wishes of people who have been using this OS for a long time. The updated version of the OS included a root security certificate Ministry of Digital Development Russia, protecting users from the risk of losing access to Russian sites. The changes also affected work with peripheral equipment, with computers on processors of different architectures, with programs written to work with imported OS and web versions of various applications.

Major changes to Simply Linux 9.1
- The OS can be installed on computers with processors of different architectures. It supports the x86 platform - 32-bit and 64-bit processors from Intel and AMD. Compatible with aarch64 - 64-bit ARMv8-compatible processors (including domestic Baikal-M on the Edelweiss monoblock and TF307-MB-S-D cards with firmware from SDK-M 4.4 from Baikal Electronics, with support for the Panfrost driver). A special build of Simply Linux is designed for single-board Raspberry Pi4 and Raspberry Pi 3. The OS runs on armv7a - 32-bit ARMv7a processors (domestic MCom-02 (Salyut-EL24PM2 by Elvis)), mipsel - 32-bit MIPS (Little Endian) processors. OS builds for RISC-V architecture have been translated from experimental to conventional status.

The next version of Simply Linux works not only on x86 computers (32-bit and 64-bit Intel and AMD). There is wide support for systems on 64-bit ARMv8 processors, including:
- special assembly for popular low-cost single-board Raspberry Pi 4 (core 5.6);
- Nvidia Jetson Nano single-board version;
- variant for different systems on the ARMv8, tested on the Huawei Kunpeng Desktop system on the most powerful Kunpeng 920 processor (core 5.4);
- released a preliminary assembly of "Simply Linux 9" for prototypes of boards with the domestic Baikal-M processor of Baikal Electronics.
OS "Simply Linux 9" is also available for owners of domestic computers "Elbrus" (101-PC, 401-PC, 801-PC).

BASEALT released a new version of the Simply Linux 8 operating system in early July 2017. Simply Linux 7.0 is an easy-to-use system with a familiar interface designed for corporate workstations and home systems.
