2023: Modular Platform 2.0
On April 26, 2023, Skala^r introduced the modular 2.0 platform from Skala^r, an implementation of the modularity concept that provides advanced scaling capabilities for Skala^r Machines and provides resource savings of up to 30% thanks to component sharing.
According to the company, the platform allows you to create an infrastructure landscape of IT services, optimized for a wide range of loads and a different software stack with the ability to use resources elastically.
When creating the concept of modularity, the previous experience of using Machines in large projects was taken into account. This made it possible to identify and implement the principles of optimal division of Machines into modules, create an architecture of mutually integrable components and combine them into a single platform for creating an IT infrastructure that meets the needs of the organization.
In addition to the optimal level of flexibility, Modular Platform 2.0 has a number of features, such as:
- Up to 2x better transaction performance than comparable hardware and up to 4x better than virtualization;
- Ensuring the availability of services at the level of 99.99% and data security at the level of 99.9999%;
- Multiply the number of operational error incidents and increase the availability of IT infrastructure services by using a specialized resource management system and optimally configured, balanced, and tested to meet specific component objectives.
Skala^r understands the needs of customers for more convenient and flexible options for expanding and increasing the efficiency of their IT infrastructure. These principles are implemented in the Modular Platform 2.0, which provides the ability to select the components of the Machines for specific tasks. This concept allows you to optimize the efficiency of utilization of IT infrastructure resources by reusing modules between different types of Machines. noted Victor Urusov, CEO of Skala^r |
This modular approach ensures that the time for commissioning of equipment is reduced by 2 times due to minimization of architectural design processes; eliminates the need for engineering surveys and does not require more personnel of the infrastructure support service during operation. Also, at the Modular Platform 2.0 level, a simple process of expanding the IT infrastructure is supported by unifying modules and automating the processes of their integration into the existing infrastructure.
All Machines and modules Skala^r included in the Unified Register of Russian Electronic Products. The Skala^r software is included in the register of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. This makes it possible for organizations to use specialized Skala^r complexes in import substitution projects, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the 223-FZ "On the procurement of goods, works, services by certain types of legal entities."
