2025: Discovery of a fraudulent scheme allowing remote access to a smartphone
Wildberries and Russ warned of a fraudulent scheme. This was announced on April 25, 2025 by the press service of Anton Nemkin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications.
The Wildberries and Russ security team has identified a multi-level fraudulent scheme with the distribution of malicious investments. The main goal of the attackers is to install a program on the client's smartphone that allows you to gain remote access to the device, the company said. |
So, attackers send users files disguised as an archive with a photo, for example, with the caption "Look, are you in the photo?"). Most often, malicious investments are sent through instant messengers. Under the guise of a photo, malicious software is actually hidden - a program for obtaining remote access to a user's device. The software allows you to gain full control over a person's smartphone.
Further, using user accounts, scammers also purchase goods in their name from the marketplace. According to the company, in the first quarter of 2025 there were significantly more such attacks, but thanks to the site protection system, the damage was reduced to zero.
The marketplace has a two-stage customer protection system. At the 1st stage, user operations are analyzed using artificial intelligence tools, and when suspicious activity is detected, they are blocked. In more difficult cases, the company's experts can connect to the case. As a result, 99.9% of purchases made by fraudsters were deactivated, and attempts to steal more than 15 million rubles were stopped, noted in Wildberries and Russ.
This trend was recorded back in 2024. For example, at the end of 2024, the number of attacked users of Android devices increased by 12%. The main tools for spreading malware remain mail services and instant messengers. In addition to archives with photos, attackers can disguise software as trackers for tracking delivery, various popular applications. The trend towards the growth of such attacks, most likely, will continue in 2025, - said the deputy. |
Such malware allows you to collect confidential information stored on the user's smartphone, including personal information, bank information, data from service accounts. In addition, the software allows you to intercept SMS and push notifications with authorization codes and confirmation of transactions from banks, - said the deputy. |
2020: Razz App Presentation
On October 21, 2020, Bank Russian Standard announced the development and release of the Razz payment application, which allows customers of all banks participating in the Fast Payment System (FPS) to pay for purchases using QR codes through the FPS in any stores and retail outlets where such an opportunity is implemented.
The Razz application allows you to pay for the purchase under the SBP using the built-in payment means of the Bank Russian Standard, which can be replenished through the SBP with a transfer from any bank participating in the System (without a commission of up to 100,000 rubles per month).
A simplified identification for a payment means can be passed online in the application without contacting the bank's office and without signing any additional documents.
Recall that Wildberries, the largest online retailer in Russia, became the first retailer to launch payment by QR code through the SBP on the website www.wildberries.ru.
It is worth noting that paying for goods on the Wildberries website using a QR code is easier and more comfortable than a bank card. The buyer will only need to choose payment through the SBP, scan the QR code (it is displayed on the monitor screen) using the Razz mobile application, confirm payment, "said Magomed-Hussein Zakriev, Android developer Wildberries. |
We implemented the ability to pay for purchases on Wildberries using QR codes from the Fast Payment System back in September last year. Our customers appreciated the convenience of this service and its popularity is constantly growing. So, in September, the volume of payments through the Wildberries SBP increased by 83% compared to August, and in the first half of October - already by 436% compared to the previous month. We support the development of new payment technologies and are confident that the Razz application will make payments even more affordable for buyers, - commented Vladimir Bakin, Chief Financial Officer of Wildberries |
The application will allow absolutely any user, regardless of which bank member of the SBP he is, to pay for purchases using the SBP at any outlet. And, of course, now in any store that accepts SBP for payment, it will be possible to pay with Razz, which will make the SBP even closer to customers, and significantly reduce the cost of acquiring for the store. Reducing costs always positively affects the supply for the end consumer, - emphasized Inna Emelyanova, Director of Acquiring Department of Bank Russian Standard |
Today, more than 20 banks provide their customers with the opportunity to pay for purchases through SBP, and we see that the number of purchases paid using QR codes through the Fast Payment System is growing every month. With the Razz application, customers of participating banks of the System, even those who have not yet connected such an option, will be able to use this convenient and safe method of online payment, replenishing the balance on the payment means with a simple transfer by phone number. We are confident that the emergence of such payment instruments will have a positive impact on the trade market, since thanks to SBP, trade and service enterprises can accept non-cash payments at a lower rate, which will expand their capabilities and resources to form interesting bonus offers for customers within the framework of loyalty programs, - notes Dmitry Kolesnikov, Director for the Development of Innovative Services of NSPK |
The app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
