Start-up of repetitive production
In December 2025, the first mass production of domestic base stations for mobile communications and the Internet was launched at the Yadro plant in Dubna. Yadro's total investments in the creation and development of telecommunications equipment reached 20 billion rubles.
The launch of a mass production of such stations is a key element of the national project "Data Economics and Digital Transformation of the State," aimed at the technological independence of the country. According to the data indicated on the official portal of the government, in order to switch to domestic infrastructure, it is required to install 75 thousand base stations by 2030.
Yadro plans to meet up to 75% of the market needs by supplying 55 thousand units of equipment to leading telecom operators by the deadline. By the end of 2025, 3 thousand base stations will be transferred to Beeline, MegaFon and T2 operators.
The equipment was created taking into account about 6 thousand technical requirements from telecom operators. Domestic base stations support world LTE standards and are ready to work in fifth generation (5G) networks. According to the official government statement, the equipment is adapted for operation in various conditions - from large cities to remote areas.
According to Dmitry Grigorenko, the launch of production allows us to overcome dependence on imported supplies and prices. According to him, there are less than ten manufacturers of such equipment in the world. Grigorenko also pointed out that the transition to domestic solutions was supported by the market, and production was launched under the specific request of operators.
The Yadro plant in Dubna is a full-cycle production facility. The company performs all stages: the manufacture of printed circuit boards and electronic modules, as well as the installation, configuration, packaging, automated testing and preparation for the shipment of telecommunication equipment.[1]
