The edition reminds that before clients could set in addition software of " Yandex.car " on the regular multimedia systems of car makers. In some models of machines it is software it was already preset. Also sales of on-board computers with this system were performed on the Internet.

At the end of January, 2020 in Russia sales Kia of the Sportage crossovers completed by the multimedia system of " Yandex.car " with the 8-inch touch display began. The automobile computer in Kia Sportage, works both at connection to the Internet, and without it. Besides, the complex supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Kia Sportage with the preset " Yandex.car " is offered in Luxe complete sets + (from  1,724,900  rubles), Prestige (from  1,929,900  rubles),  GT-Line  (from  2,149,900 rubles) and Premium (from  2,279,900  rubles). Start of services of "Yandex" for the crossover is performed without additional margins to the cost of the car, specified in Kia.^[1]

In five years of "Yandex" expects to deliver multimedia devices in 2 million cars of brands Lada, Renault and Nissan. At the same time the company does not open sale of the equipment by the beginning of February, 2020.

"Yandex" is interested in increase in number of the sold devices then to earn from services, but the product remains rather expensive, the chief executive of Avtostat Sergey Udalov reported Vedomosti.

2019

New features: fuel payment, warning of road cameras and search of the parked car

On December 19, 2019 "Yandex" announced updating of the automobile computer of " Yandex.car ". In the new version there were several essential innovations, the majority of which is connected with navigation.

So, " Yandex.navigator " on the smartphone and in automotive multimedia steel are integrated therefore drivers had an opportunity to plan a route still at home, using the uniform account of "Yandex".

Also in the application it is possible to look where the car is parked, to construct from it a route and one button to transfer it to the screen of the on-board computer.

In upgraded version of the program it is possible to bring services which the driver uses most often to the main screen. For example, earlier at start one Navigator was displayed, however now on the main monitor it will also be possible to manage a widget with music service.

Also the interface of a musical player was updated: now it will depend on what the motorist — " Yandex.music " or radio listens to, the picture will be a constant.

The navigator in " Yandex.car "  learned to distinguish six types of cameras and to warn about approach to them, including voice.  Also a system warns about approach to schools that the driver could reset beforehand speed and to be more vigilant on section where on the road there can be children.

Besides, service  of " Yandex.gas station " is added to " Yandex.car " thanks to what it is possible to pay fuel on the screen of the on-board computer, without going out of the car. At arrival at gas station the computer will understand where there is a car, will suggest to select a column and volume of fuel and also will pay purchase.

New features will appear when updating " Yandex.car " to version 1.7. Those who installed a system independently will be able to update it in settings. And at whom a system was delivered by a factory method, will receive the corresponding updating at dealers.^[2] 

Start of sales in Moscow and St. Petersburg

On June 20, 2019 there was information that the Yandex.car on-board computer went on sale in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Along with start of sales in these cities the certified service centers where it is possible to install the device opened and to receive warranty service.

The on-board computer "Yandex" is installed instead of a regular multimedia system car. For June, 2019 it is compatible to sixteen models Renault Lada Volkswagen Toyota Kia, Š koda Mitsubishi Hyundai Nissan, their complete list is on the website. "Yandex.car" will be free of charge delivered, and later — set in the special service center.
