2018: Demand forecasting automation

On January 24, 2018 CORUS Consulting Group announced project completion on automation of process of demand forecasting based on Oracle Demantra Demand Management in ALVISA group. Automation of process of creation of the sales forecast and joint work with it is a need for business. For planning features of sales and transactions the company management of ALVISA selected Oracle Demantra Demand Management.

The created system allows to build forecasts for all of the SKU company, at any levels of aggregation of data: on channels, distributors, federal networks and outlets. The received forecasts at the same time consider seasonality, trends, promotion actions and other factors. Self-training prediction algorithms automatically adapt to the changing external data, connecting necessary statistical models and contributing factors.

In the course of system implementation groups of the factors influencing forecasting accuracy were defined, process of forecasting of primary and secondary sales is built, reference books with commodity and client hierarchy are unified and the data loading mechanism (plans of promotion actions, development plans, the prices) is implemented.

Each participant of process of forecasting works in a unified environment of forecasting, has access to a uniform demand forecast, development plans and plans of carrying out promo-activities that allows to react quickly to changes and to timely make corrections to the existing plans.

2015: Budgeting automation

The ALVISA group, the Russian producer and the distributor of alcoholic beverages, selected a cloud service of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service for budgeting automation. Using this service the company will get access to opportunities of business planning of a world class in combination with advantages of a cloud environment.

The cloud solution will allow the company to automate budgeting process, to perform financial forecasting, in the shortest possible time to receive the authentic reporting, to exclude the errors arising because of manual execution of operations. Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service automates accomplishment of tasks which were carried out in the company in Excel manually earlier. The solution will be integrated with a 1C system used by the ALVISA Group.

Our company has 9 brands, 10 representations, 4 markets at which we work and budgeting manually — very labor-intensive process. Automation using a cloud allows to reduce its cost and to exclude errors. At this stage the forecasting model and budget model are developed, forms in a system are configured, writing of calculations for budget model is conducted. Project finish is planned in the middle of 2016.
