Implementation of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 (SCCM) in Rive Gauche

Project Tasks

In 2013 IT infrastructure of Rive Gauche company contained more than 1500 workstations in all branches of retail chain stores and continued to grow constantly. Use of different tools for the solution of routine tasks of service of such PC park was very labor-consuming. Plus in the company there was a new task – to carry out cycle inventory counting of the used computer hardware and the software. At the same time, the majority of the PC was scattered on regional offices and are not included in the domain Windows that complicated the centralized administration in general and inventory even more in particular.

For permission of current situation it was necessary to create a common information space for system administrators with a high speed of reaction to business changes, optimization of IT processes, decrease in labor and monetary charges of information service in general.

Project Progress

For implementation of the conceived changes of Rive Gauche purchased the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 (SCCM) software product.

Specialists of Soft management on the basis of requirements of the company picked up necessary functionality of SCCM for a full-fledged work of IT service "Rive Gauche" and developed the project of architecture of servers.

The project considered all specifications: the number of working and server stations, features of data transmission between the main office and retail network, operation of computers both in the domain, and in the working groups. He also took the corporate policy prohibiting access for users from regional shops in a local network of the main office into account. For project implementation only the available resources of the company and additional costs were used it was not involved.
