2022: Implementation of Cloudflare

Softline on July 1, 2022 announced the completion of a project to improve the information security of web resources of Compare. The implementation of Cloudflare, a comprehensive solution for protecting against bots and DDoS attacks, has strengthened the security of client sites. Thus, as a result of the project, the financial marketplace received a tool for controlled protection of the external perimeter.

To prevent serious cybersecurity incidents, Compare used solutions from various vendors. But these products were scattered, had limited functionality and did not provide the proper level of protection. Therefore, the company turned to Softline. Cloudflare was chosen from the options offered by the provider. As of July 2022, the company is still operating in the Russian market, where Softline is its only strategic partner.

Before the full-scale implementation of the solution, our client wanted to test it on the infrastructure of one of his legal entities and the vendor provided this opportunity. After successful testing, the company launched the proposed product to protect its financial marketplace. The implementation was carried out in a short time: the vendor's engineers remotely configured and configured the rules for limiting network traffic, launched a firewall to eliminate certain types of malicious activity of bots and reduce the load on web servers. We, in turn, organized effective communication between the partner and the client, quickly responded to all customer requests and helped to configure additional services. As a result, Compare web resources were reliably protected - Cloudflare analyzes traffic for attacks of various levels, provides protection against both password guessing and DDoS attacks. Also, using algorithmic machine learning, malicious and "clean" bots are automatically ranked, as a result of which only legitimate traffic is allowed. At the same time, it is possible to regulate the parameters of this filtering, "said Nikolai Ozivsky, Cloudflare Business Development Manager at Softline.
