The Softline company standardized software for Yunimilk Company

Softline completed the project on system implementation of control of workstations based on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 for YUNIMILK Company that allowed to standardize the software and to simplify support system of users at geographically distributed offices of the company.

"YUNIMILK company" – one of leaders of the dairy industry of Russia and the CIS countries. The company created in 2002 today integrates 28 enterprises in which 14 thousand employees in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus work.

Geographically distributed IT infrastructure, remoteness of jobs, use of different versions of products, need in a short time to deploy new software solutions – all this led to loss of control over the software and required considerable resources for control of workstations. For the solution of current situation the YUNIMILK company addressed the old partner – the Softline company which suggested to implement the system of the centralized service of the PC park on the basis of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007.

Project implementation took place in several stages within two months. After primary setup of a configuration of the server at the stand and deployments of agents of SCCM 2007 on computers of a pilot zone specialists of Softline collected data on the PC and made software collections. As standard software the packet of Microsoft Office 2007 and office applications of Visio and Project was accepted. For simplification of software installation specialists of Softline configured the SCCM 2007 function on deployment of software and created a packet of the Office 2007 installation, having updated to this version the previous packets of Office with preserving of all settings of users. At report generation about results problems were revealed and recommendations about their solution are developed.

System deployment of control of workstations based on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 on the scale of all company was carried out by efforts of specialists of YUNIMILK company on in advance developed instructions.

The project on implementation of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 allowed to solve a number of the problems connected with administration of IT infrastructure of the company: now IT employees had a tool allowing to carry out centralized accounting, updating and software installation.

Alexey Polishchuk, the director of the department of information technologies of JSC "Unimilk Company", noted: "Implementation of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 allowed to unify the software at workstations and to resolve an issue of collecting of statistics of use of the software".
